“Aang is dead.” She says, and it’s the first time Zuko has seen Katara look completely composed since this whole mess started, even though she is completely drenched in blood.

“I’ve captured the Avatar!” Zuko shouts, lifting Ila in the air and spinning around.
She is only three months old, but she already loves to play ‘hunting the Avatar’ with Zuko. It’s also great for Zuko’s amusement that she still hasn’t figured out other games exist and that she can’t even walk.

After Aang’s untimely death and his defection of the Fire throne, Zuko seeks asylum on the Southern Water Tribe and helps raise the new avatar.

Ochako is right in front of him. She’s right in front of him, yet his body can’t move. He stays glued to the floor, eyes wide as he takes in just how small she looks compared to how she did before.
He wants to scream, tear a wall down. Burn the entire world and bring the people who did that to her to their ends. He wants to tell her how afraid he was, how his heart felt like it was going to explode if he spent one more second without knowing whether she was alive. But the only word that comes out of his mouth is:
“Cheeks…”
