Summary
Morepesok was not a religious town.
It was one of stories, yes, of superstition when the situation called for it, but not of religion. Because the goddess of Snezhnaya was the Goddess of Love, and what use did Morepesok have for love? What good would love do against the bitter cold?
The Goddess answered no prayers, anyway. She hadn’t since long ago.
And Alexei Yefremovich Novikov, at the tender age of four, was just becoming aware of that.
Alexei's relationship with Ajax has been complicated, but over the years he's begun to care more and more for his little brother - only for it all to be ripped away when Ajax is seemingly replaced by a changeling.

Every day, Mr. Samsa walked through the streets and went to the bank with a lingering presence of filth, with the image of a giant, scuttling insect in the back of his mind. His being was a tense mass, holding himself together, holding his secrets together, preserving the image of the family against the forces of the universe and the prying eyes of the city. He could feel gazes on him at all times, and the image in the mirror was one he went to often, for it was a necessity to see himself, to see his features, and be reassured that they were still average and not at all out of the ordinary. His hands were cracked and red and itchy and still, he washed them. Soap, hot water, rubbing—he scrubbed the filth, and scrubbed it again, and again and again, until there was not a speck of dirt left on them.

The tempest grew as Osial raged, but this was not the fiercest battle on the top of the mountain at the moment.
"This is the end of the line, Pyotr," Zhongli held steady onto his resolve as he threw Pyotr off the mountain, yes Childe would be upset but there was no other way. He had to get rid of him!
Pyotr the, completely inanimate, Rock ends up falling and hitting a treasure hoarder who was using the storm as an opportunity for robbery. The treasure hoarder's sunglasses fall and land on Pyotr the Rock as he gets knocked out, making Pyotr look really cool.
"You saved me again, Pyotr!" Childe cried as he was rushing out, still weak from his battle with the Traveller.

Au where Childe gets super attached to this one random rock bc of his trauma from the abyss, and by the time he was in the fatui, it upgraded to best friend. Everyone else suffers 1 million psychic damage.

With his feelings for Zhongli.
No, she's not proud of it either. The Yuheng isn't the only one adept at blackmail, though, and when Childe pressures her with photographs of the Rex Lapis shrine in her closet, the two find themselves in the pettiest of stalemates.
