Summary
He hears the rustling of footsteps and the sound of a person humming, jolting him back to trying to escape. His powers are no longer within his reach, he can barely generate a static shock, let alone the thunderstorms that could destroy entire valleys. Yibo continues struggling. It would be a tragic and humiliating end, an immortal being dead days into his first trip to land because he is made into food by the young human who is rapidly approaching.
“Shh, shh… hey, little pig, I won’t hurt you. Please don’t worsen your injuries.”
Yibo snaps at the insult in warning, and horrifyingly, the sound that comes from his mouth is a tiny, angry squeal.

Summary
Yibo is transfixed at the sight of Xiao Zhan’s wide smile and sweetly upturned eyes. The little scrunch of his nose as he laughs. It makes the edges of his lip twitch too, and he huffs softly to relieve the bubbling feeling in his chest.
“Ah, sorry. I was a bit surprised there.” Xiao Zhan lifts himself up, walking closer before crouching down and taking both of Yibo’s roughened hands in his, surprisingly smaller ones. “Yibo, isn’t it? You can call me Zhan-ge.”
“Zhan-ge,” he replies dumbly, and gets another brilliant smile in return.
***Xiao Zhan is twenty when he meets his little friend Yibo. Wang Yibo is fourteen when he meets his future bride Zhan-ge.
A story of seven years, and a lifetime thereafter.
