She had never even thought about having a child, she certainly didn't want one, but before she can make up her mind about what to do, she has some kind of accident, maybe while sparring or something, and has a miscarriage.
She still doesn't ever want to have children, but she has a hard time dealing with the loss. Because it's complicated grieving for something you never wanted.
