    Summary

    The problem was her back.

Post-Golden House, Lumine wakes up with daily pain. She no longer has her celestial powers; therefore, she no longer has her old healing abilities.

But Lumine could manage. She learned her limits and handled it. All she wanted to do was continue on to Inazuma, avoid Childe and Zhongli, and find her brother.

If only Childe wasn't making that so difficult. He's an annoying, incessant pest who won't leave her alone, and that only gets worse after he finds out they're soulmates.

(In which Lumine contemplates homicide and Childe is smitten.)

    Summary

One of the last things Diluc expects to see when he visits the Traveler’s new home is the Eleventh Harbinger, perched over a stove and a pot of soup with an apron tied around his waist.

So he does what any sensible person would do —

He lifts his claymore, and swings.

He really, really shouldn't have written about her to his siblings. His first warning was his sister's teasing response. He should've stopped then.

    He didn't.

    Summary

The thrumming in his chest becomes a chorus of twinkling wind chimes and a loving mother’s coo, and it vacates all the air from his lungs. The bird snatches his voice and his breath like that of a thief, leaving him feeling nothing but drowned.

    It suffocates him.

It suffocates him, and he wants it gone, he wants it gone, he wants it gone

"Stop—" Tartaglia breathes out in a weak voice that pains his very being. His hand wraps itself around Lumine’s wrist, and she stares into his eyes with wonder. "Stop it. Stop," he stumbles, entire body feeble as the hummingbird sucks him dry of bloodlust like it would to a flower’s nectar. "Stop making me feel."

In which Lumine turns the mighty Tartaglia's hardened heart into the softest of hummingbirds.

    Summary

Trouble never seemed far off when Childe was around. For the most part, Lumine didn't mind that. Kept things interesting, for sure. Usually, their mutual brand of mayhem looked like epic battles against hilichurls and eldritch horrors from Abyss. But the moment Childe sheepishly croaked out "my parents think we're dating," Lumine just knew that they had stumbled head first into a new form of danger. Sadly, this one wasn't one they could stab their way out of.

Though frankly if this fake dating thing didn't go well, Lumine wasn't above trying it.
