“I don’t know.” Jimin finally says, biting the inside of his cheeks.
Or, in which Jimin used to believe that nothing could come between him and Jungkook. They were the perfect couple—loving, understanding, supportive—it was all so lovely, so easy. Until it wasn't.

Summary
Loving someone who doesn’t love you back is like reaching for the stars. You know you’ll never be able to touch them, but you just have to try. But loving someone who wants to love you back is like suddenly being launched into space, because now you’re that much closer to touching the stars. And Jimin wants Jeongguk to love him, because if Jeongguk loves him then Jimin will be encased in his star, burning so hot and shining so bright that it will be blinding.
“I told you I didn’t love you.” Jeongguk replies, voice sad.
“Do you love me?”
“I think that maybe one day I could,” Jeongguk answers, and there’s hope in his voice. Like maybe for the first time, he believes what he’s saying.
or, Jimin has been in love with Jeongguk for years, but Jeongguk's emotional childhood keeps him closed off and distant, holding everyone at arms reach. So for now the friends with benefits arrangement will have to do, no matter how much it hurts.
