Ash had a girlfriend when he was fourteen. It didn't end well. This is that story.
UPDATED WITH A NEW ENDING!
I wasn't even a little bit happy with the ending of this story as it was written back in 2023. I was in a bad place, health-wise, and couldn't manage the mental load of writing anything. Still, I thought that any ending would be better than an unfinished story, so I scribbled one out, posted it, and promptly loathed everything about it for over a year.
I finally decided just to fix it. I hope that some of my old readers will return to check it out, and that others will find it for the first time.
