Summary
"If only we'd met a few years earlier..."
There's been news about a cursed child moving into town. The townsfolk are ruffled; Akira is unconcerned. There are far more pressing issues to fixate on—like pestering this random boy in the woods into becoming his life-long rival.
Meanwhile, Goro has only just moved into the soon-to-be newest installment of his long line of failed foster homes and he's somehow already picked up a second shadow. His pest is naïve, delusional, and a total space case. Not to mention, Goro's pretty sure he only has a single brain cell bouncing around in that souped-up skull of his.
At the very least, he's entertaining.
In which Akira and Goro do indeed meet earlier. And the consequences are permanent.

Summary
The dominoes of fate will fall just an inch off of their predestined path of destruction. Just one or two choices can completely alter the future. Goro wraps his hands around his cup of cold tea. Raises it to his lips. Puts it back to the table without sipping.
“Don’t fuck with me.”
After serving his sentence, Akechi sets out to rebuild his life, determined to leave the past behind and carve out a future of his own.
But fate isn’t finished with him yet. It has one more surprise waiting.....one that arrives in the form of a little sister he never knew he had.

The crows who sit on powerlines marvel at Akechi Goro. Look how well adjusted he is, they say, look how normal he appears to the naked eye!
With ten years having passed since last seeing one another, Akechi Goro and Amamiya Ren are reunited by chance thanks to the beauty of interior design and cafe renovation. This mechanism of fate, of course, is only really beautiful with one eye closed.
