Summary
Hongjoong felt the rippling of the water against the boat before she saw Seonghwa, peeking her head out of the water behind her. Her midnight-black hair made her look alluringly majestic, but as always, it was her silver eyes that Hongjoong couldn't look away from. Still, she wondered what it would be like looking at her face with her hair pulled back, the lines of her face undisturbed by the wet black tendrils. She wanted to run her fingers across Seonghwa's cheeks, maybe just the back of one finger, slowly acquaint herself with the mermaid's skin. Hongjoong wondered if it would feel different to the touch compared to her own.

Summary
Seonghwa was a professional, and he’d made his peace with the fact that Hongjoong would spend more time on stage or interacting with fans than with him, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be bitter about it sometimes. Especially when he saw the sheer desire and love with which the crowd would look at Hongjoong. That was okay, though. None of them could ever love him the way he did, none of them would get the chance to run their hands over his skin or kiss his lips, none of them knew the way he sounded when Seonghwa hit his spot just right, or the glossy look in his eyes when he kneeled in front of Seonghwa and handed him the reins.

Wooyoung didn’t need the intruder to turn around - he’d recognize that icy silver hair anywhere. It was the same head of hair he would see during his most vulnerable moments, between dreams and wakefulness. The severe, harsh lines framing his features, the haunted eyes, the blood splashed across his face and hair. Red on white, marring the pristine color, as out of place and captivating as blood on the snow. The sight was nothing new for him; he had seen it so many times, on different people and in different situations that he had grown jaded of it - but Wooyoung would be damned to forget this one. Five years had not been enough to make the memory fade away, and more time wouldn't make any difference.
