“Well, is that what you want? To be my boyfriend?”
“Well, yeah,” Zuko blushed. “I mean,” he quickly dropped Sokka’s hand, “unless I read this wrong?”
Sokka let out a hearty laugh, throwing his head against Zuko’s shoulder as he did so.
“I’m cuddled into your side, babe, you’re not reading anything wrong.”
Babe. Zuko’s cheeks reddened even more.
“I wasn’t sure!”
Sokka looked up at him with nothing but love in his eyes, grateful that the universe finally made this happen. He had been wanting Zuko to be his, for him to be Zuko’s, for months now.
“I think, maybe… just for this next dinner? We act like we’re still just roommates? I just don’t want to take any attention away from Katara, you know?”

Summary
Honestly, there were very few things that Zuko disliked about poetry, and even then, disliked was a strong word.
That, however, changed pretty quickly into the semester.
Zuko had never met anyone who was more of a menace than Sokka–this out of control boomerang-obsessed kid.
No matter what style they read or talked about, Sokka found ways to bring math into it. No matter what poem they read, he found ways to interpret them in the most ridiculous (and not even in a creative-ridiculous way) ways imaginable.
Zuko used to believe there was no wrong interpretation of poetry, but Sokka proved him wrong real quick.
