He grins and I suddenly notice the wolf child in him; canines shiny, lips ruby and reflective like he's put on chapstick. My thoughts - sludge or slime - slosh about with nothing concrete to grab onto, just the steady buzz of panic.
The Polaroid is tiny, but it's clear who are the two men in it; tattoos betray him and my frame stands out even in dim light. He wouldn't fuckin' dare, he wouldn't-- but he did.
