    Summary

“Inattentive ADHD? You mean, it’s a whole different thing?”

Reggie's never really thought about it before. He never wondered if the reason he spaces out so often — like, ‘sometimes miss half the conversation’ often — could mean something else. He knows he's different from other people. Sometimes he forgets things; sometimes, he loses his own train of thought; sometimes, he closes his eyes and it's like losing time, having it slip past without him even noticing or missing it.

Things just — don't come easy for him, is all. But he's still okay. There’s nothing wrong with him.

So why is Ray sitting down with him now, to talk about this?

    Summary

All of a sudden, the boys are… tired. It’s easy to miss, once the high of those first few days after the Orpheum has worn off; they act the same as ever, still the irrepressible goofballs she loves. The changes are small. Reggie has shadows under his eyes sometimes; after particularly fierce drum solos, Alex sometimes has to stop to catch his breath, running a hand over his sweaty brow. Even Luke flags during their late-night writing sessions, as the hours grow later and his thoughts are more inclined to wander.

She catches him staring off into space sometimes, hypnotized by the pattern of the kitchen tile or Julie’s bedroom curtains; when she nudges him, he’ll jolt, and blink at her with hazy eyes. His smile is sheepish, and a beat too slow to come.

"What are you dreaming of?" she teases gently, and Luke shakes his head.

    "Nothing."

    + you just... can't dream. )

    Summary

When Carrie wakes up, the morning after Julie and the Phantoms play the Orpheum, her father is gone.

"You understand, Miss Wilson, your father’s vacation may be prolonged. Now, in absence of any familial relations, your father has designated proxy legal guardians... Rose and Ray Molina? Obviously Mrs Molina is no longer in a state to take you in, but Mr Molina has agreed to take on guardianship responsibilities for however long is necessary. So long as you consent —“

No! No, Carrie doesn’t consent. She very much does not consent to — to whatever this is.

“— situation would require you to reside under the Molinas’ care until your father’s return.”

    🎕🎕🎕

(When her father has a breakdown, Carrie is forced to move in with Julie's family, and must confront some uncomfortable truths - about her family, her life, and herself. A house full of ghosts just comes with the package.

Meanwhile, Julie’s just trying to deal with suddenly having her arch-enemy move into her home, said enemy’s ex-boyfriend giving off some really weird vibes, and hiding her ghost band from her arch-enemy’s constant snooping.

    No big deal.)
