Encanto has a main focus point - saving the miracle, and fixing the bond between Mirabel Madrigal and her Abuela. However, the movie creates such interesting characters that each have such little screentime or depth behind the main plot, that it makes you wonder what goes on in their life that we're not seeing? And most importantly, what goes on after the movie ends?
Madrigal Milestones explores that, by taking you through important points in the life of the Madrigal grandkids (and Bruno) to let you see beyond the confines of the movie screen and overshadowing main character business, at least my rendition of it.
A fair warning, as far as I've got planned so far, this story consists mostly of content related to my created partners for each characters single by the end of the movie. If that's not your thing, then I would most likely skip this story. I'm a sappy, single, cliche romance enjoyer, so you'll have to forgive me for this one. -

He’s glad the world he made up in his head has merged with reality, and as he leans back, folding his arms under his head and redirecting his gaze to the smoky sky, he hopes 2020 will be better than this year. While it certainly hadn’t been the worst year to ever suffer the misfortune of living through, he could’ve done a lot more with his life. He could have Brie here or attended her New Year’s party if they hadn’t broken up ages ago. He could have kissed Cooper, just to see if the sensation is as satisfying as he envisions, scratch that ever-present itch that needles at him. He could have never interviewed at the call center, changed his résumé’s trajectory.

Furrowing her brow, Taylor gives her brother a once over. Pale face, slightly red nose, the beginnings of dark circles under his eyes.
Definitely sick.
"Whatever you say. Just don't- don't cough on me or whatever."
Turning to leave, Taylor lets out a frustrated huff. She definitely can't go out with her friends now. Not that she's completely opposed to the idea but her mom would probably consider it the pinnacle of irresponsibility or something and ground her forever.
And maybe she's a little worried about Oliver. Maybe.
