“Where are we?” Till asks, eyes widening at the sound of his voice. He’s much raspier than usual, much more strained for someone who is speaking normally. That makes sense, though. He still has his wounds, so of course he’d have the damage that comes with them.
“Somewhere in between,” Ivan unhelpfully supplies. He points to the left, revealing a large window that seems to be showing the events occurring on stage. “There’s the living,” and then he points to the right, where a closed door stands tall. “And there’s the after.”

He’s used to quietly observing his master, listening when he cannot see, and from these actions he’s learned what is perhaps Shen Qingqiu’s biggest weakness: Shen Yuan, head disciple of Qing Jing Peak
The only logical way to hurt Shen Qingqiu, is to hurt Shen Yuan.
So he begins plotting.

Summary
Till takes in a shaky breath, and the physical absence of a familiar weight on his shoulders throbs like an open wound in the hollow space between his lungs.
It’s always been Ivan’s role, to chase after Till until he got too tired to run away, constantly orbiting around him, unbearably close. Till’s fingers feel numb all of a sudden, the screen of his phone darkens under his turbulent gaze—his legs tremble, just slightly. But he’s getting quite tired of running in circles.

As an emperor, Luo Binghe is gifted a captive.
The poacher bows low and retreats into the shadows for a moment as Luo Binghe watches him with a bored look from his throne, one leg swung carelessly over the other.
Feathers strew the cage, and the figure looks human. It’s screeching and cursing, voice broken, and Luo Binghe does not feel a single thing stir within him. Sweating under the unimpressed look, the demon reaches a scaly hand between the bars of the cage and tugs at the sack over the creature’s head, yanking harshly.
Time ceases for a moment; Luo Binghe’s stomach drops through the ground. A battered man looks up at him, deep grey eyes widening as their gazes meet. Luo Binghe’s chest clenches, and his hands stiffen at the sight. His heart thumps loudly in his throat, and the air escapes from his lungs, leaving him in a stunned silence.
“Binghe?” rasps a familiar voice.
