Mu Qing loved Xie Lian.

Summary
The Kingdom of Xianle has fallen and with it, Xie Lian, Mu Qing and Feng Xin fall too.
This is a situation Mu Qing is no stranger to, he has lived in poverty before. He knows what's like to feel hunger and despair. He knows what it is like to save every single coin. He knows what it's like to struggle. He doesn't know, however, what it is like to fall in love and when he finds himself looking a bit more deeply to Feng Xin and thinking of him despite their current dire reality, his world turns around, he becomes scared.
After all, there's nothing more terrifying than falling in love with someone who doesn't feel the same. Except maybe, having to watch that someone fall in love with someone else...

He looks away. “Pitiful,” he echoes, his voice strangely hoarse. “Yes.”
