Chuuya just betrayed the Port Mafia.
He doesn’t know what he was thinking beyond the fact that he wasn’t.
He couldn’t think a single rational thought stronger than the pull of Dazai’s devastated eyes, of the revelation of being able to see both of them and the hurt he saw in them, deep and raw and inescapable and the burning urge to make it better.
If Dazai was leaving, then Chuuya was leaving with him.
It wasn’t a decision as much as it simply was. Chuuya would follow him anywhere, so he did.

Standing in the doorway, gripping the frame with one hand while the other clutched a haphazard handful of bloodied bandages to his stomach, was Nakahara Chuuya.
Or, Dazai receives a late-night visitor. Being partners comes just as easily as it used to.
