Summary
Mista had craned his neck to look: he had seen the sunlight glinting off of its wings, its sleek red shape darting among the clouds, and Narancia watching it go, laughing. Wind in his hair. Narancia, calling after it through cupped hands, fierce and proud: Volare via, baby!
Mista had known it then, and he knows it now. Narancia’s the kind of person who should live forever.
Mista and Narancia talk of life, death, and pizza.

Summary
The first aid kit is small, in a plastic red box. Trish indexes the items when Narancia opens it, gauze and scissors and bandage clips, antiseptic wipes, cotton swabs. She’s used to these things now. It’s like Mista always says. When you’re in Passione your best friends are Keglevich Dry and single-use cold packs.
“You really kicked that guy’s ass,” Narancia says, lifting the washcloth to her face. His voice has that admiring quality to it that it gets sometimes; Trish can always spot it because it makes him sound like he’s about to laugh. “I mean really. Hold still.”

Summary
Sighing, Dan Heng looked up and made eye contact with the menaces themselves, standing a few feet away by a wall and waving at him with matching shit-eating grins on their faces. Though a part of him was happy to see them so happy, the other, more rational side to him thought to himself that he really needed to learn how to refuse them.
After all, Dan Heng’s inability to say no to his friends led him to where he was now: standing in line amidst a gaggle of excited fans, all waiting for a chance to interact with one of the official cosplayers hired by Astral Hunters Games.
--
March and Stelle sign Dan Heng up to interact with an official cosplayer for his favorite character, Yingxing.

Summary
Dan Heng’s hips ached more often than not, these days.
It was one of many normal pregnancy symptoms — or, at least, it was a normal pregnancy symptom for the species throughout the world that experienced gestation. Since Dan Heng was the first Vidyadhara since the rise of Long the Permanence to undergo pregnancy, it was difficult to say whether the symptoms he had to endure were normal for his species or not.
--
Dan Heng deals with pregnancy symptoms, talks to the child he never meant to leave behind, and cries it out (more pregnancy symptoms).
