“You really kicked that guy’s ass,” Narancia says, lifting the washcloth to her face. His voice has that admiring quality to it that it gets sometimes; Trish can always spot it because it makes him sound like he’s about to laugh. “I mean really. Hold still.”

Sighing, Dan Heng looked up and made eye contact with the menaces themselves, standing a few feet away by a wall and waving at him with matching shit-eating grins on their faces. Though a part of him was happy to see them so happy, the other, more rational side to him thought to himself that he really needed to learn how to refuse them.
After all, Dan Heng’s inability to say no to his friends led him to where he was now: standing in line amidst a gaggle of excited fans, all waiting for a chance to interact with one of the official cosplayers hired by Astral Hunters Games.

Since Dan Heng was the first Vidyadhara since the rise of Long the Permanence to undergo pregnancy, it was difficult to say whether the symptoms he had to endure were normal for his species or not.

In his defense, Dan Heng normally didn’t have to. Every single member of the Astral Express made specific sounds while they were using the showers that he had long since memorized. Blade, on the other hand, was deathly silent in comparison.
But, now that he hadn’t been paying attention and had simply walked in on...that, Dan Heng just couldn’t get a certain image out of his mind.

Narancia wasn’t supposed to be the worst one off in the aftermath.
Yet, here he is; months later, with a plethora of problems that has him sitting in the waiting room of a nauseating clinic while Bucciarati hears the results that he didn’t have the heart to. Pathetic and cowardly, but Narancia will do anything to ignore what looms ahead of him.
A pity that nobody remembered the bar that had pierced through his skull. Not even himself. It was Giorno’s body. He thinks bitterly that it should be him in this chair with gaudy fabric. He should have been the one poked and prodded, and stared at with pity. Giorno should have been the one who received countless questions that he could not give an answer to. He should be the one wondering what’s wrong with himself. Not him.
Yet, here he is.

Not everything remains the same after Diavolo when a mere head injury that may have healed within a blink of an eye comes back to stir up trouble. With a struggle to speak, Narancia feels as if his world has crashed and burned all around him in a matter of a second and a clinical pamphlet. With that, it leaves broken pieces scattered around him for his shattered spirit to grasp at.
