Things are much more complicated.
Spider-Man wanted to say something and make sure that corny line wouldn’t be the last one he heard, but his whole body felt like a bruise being pressed down. The man was opening his mouth to let out something evil and abnormally personal against Spider-Man, when a voice came down the dark alley.
“But the record keeps playing the same old song.” Spider-Man and the bad guy turned their heads to the mouth of the alley. They couldn’t see anyone, but the male voice sang on. “They say aha, aha. Keep your hands off my girl.”
Peter’s head thumped against the wall. “No. Just… no. Do me a favor, just crush my windpipe."

Toge raised his shoulders higher. At the end of the shrug, even the silence felt wrong.
“I don’t know.” Toge thought as clearly as he could. He tried his best to say so.
“Tuna Mayo,” Toge said, the words tangling on the way out.
The man’s expression didn’t crack. His posture stayed the same, passive to the point he’d barely responded at all. “You care that much for condiments? This hardly seems the place."
When Toge goes under anesthesia, he meets a literal man of his dreams. The man, Noritoshi Kamo, really exists.
