Summary
Neil met Andrew in juvie when he was 15 after his mother died and the cops found him staring at a burning vehicle. He was wary of him at first but eventually, they became friends which then led to a little bit more than friends. When Andrew eventually left to go live with Aaron, they kept in touch, until Neil got out of juvie and returned to his life on the run, where their contact was scarcer. One day, Andrew got a call from +44 20 number. London. When he answered it was the same boy he missed, calling to tell him that he gave up on running and was seeking refuge with his uncle Stuart in London. And he went by Neil now. Neil Hatford. Andrew was just happy to hear that he was all right.
That was 3 years ago. Now Andrew is a sophomore at Palmetto State University, playing exy for the Foxes. And Neil… Well.

Summary
“Andrew,” the man said, adjusting his recorder, his smile that of someone who had just struck gold. “If you don’t mind me asking… is there an enthusiastic girlfriend we should know about?”
Andrew, for his part, looked directly at the reporter with a flat, bored expression.
“This?” he said, pointing at the mark with one finger, his voice devoid of emotion—though there was a glint of amusement in his eyes. “Josten did this.”
