HC: Shuriken knows how to moonwalk. That’s it, that’s the bit.
–All of the phighters came together for the Phestival after-parties almost every year they happened! It’d involve dirt cheap alcohol, Boombox’s DJing, and a ton of chances to socialize.
Now, Shuriken, being the guy he was, didn’t really go for the networking part of things. It was more of an excuse to hang out with his friends all night.
Except alcohol doesn’t mesh well with Coil, and it’s even worse with Shuriken.OR
Coil and Shuriken flirt around a party for an hour.

HC: Skateboard gets night terrors about the fall from Splintered Skies.
–Some days, Skateboard’s mind would think back on being thrown down, with nobody else there to comfort or shield him from the fall.
And on those days, existing felt impossible.He’d try running through every solution he had in mind, minus Boombox due to his move to the Crossroads.
And in the end, one doorstep ended up being what he ran to.

Skateboard goes to Coil for comfort when he’s having a hard night.

HC: If Katana gets too worried about what’s happening with Silver Shadow, he’ll handle some things behind the scenes.
–The Crossroads wasn’t a dangerous city. In fact, it was safe enough that people would openly walk around or keep shops open way past midnight. There’d even been some cases of leaving doors unlocked.
Part of that was due to one vigilante, who kept himself in disguise.
Silver Shadow— or, in his mornings, Shuriken. He’d handled so much crime by himself that he was adapted to it.But tonight, Katana wouldn’t let that happen.

HC: Rocket and Sword both had huge emo phases when they were younger.
–Rocket had become accustomed to sleeping over at Sword’s house, hardly even asking for permission anymore. Except today, this was the one rare one in a million times that Venomshank had said no.
Being the optimistic guy he is, this naturally leads to one route in Sword’s mind.Performing a song in front of their dads to get approval.

HC: Shuriken gets way too sleep-deprived for proper interaction at the café, despite being a waiter.
–Coil had been annoying Slingshot for a long time, and Shuriken had made it his life’s goal to stay out of it.
But on a busy day, where he’s partially asleep, and there are no regulars he recognizes:He runs to Coil.
With a conversation full of yawning and rule-breaking, Coil tries putting up some moves on Shuriken.

Summary
HC: All of the conversation after Doomsekkar’s fight with Vinestaff was very awkward.
–When it’s your first time getting trapped by a Sword Deity’s creation, it’s hard to react with anything other than panic and silence.
Vinestaff had reacted with both, but with a lot of frustration.Except being the empathetic and nice person she is makes it hard to keep that act up, it doesn’t take long for her to lighten up.
OR
Vinestaff realizes Doomsekkar is willing to listen and is more than willing to talk.

HC: Coil partially runs and actively participates in a ‘Fight Club.’
–When your crush invites you to a hidden, not-so-hidden boxing thing that may or may not be a Fight Club, the typical reaction would be to reject the offer.
Slingshot followed through with that, but ignored one minor issue.He has two siblings who’d watched the movie with him, and both of them had become fans.
And when one convincing voice turns into three, it becomes harder to reject.

HC: Medkit isn’t good at hiding his depressive episodes at all. Sometimes people go out of their way to take care of him.
–Medkit had depression for years after leaving Blackrock. He doesn’t care about it too much anymore, but he does get his particularly bad episodes every now and then.
Ones that he isn’t too slick at hiding.Especially when it comes to people he’s forced to be around every other day.

Scythe and Sword both try to take care of the Medkit to the best of their abilities.

HC: Sword and Katana both appreciate each other’s sword-fighting styles, and both want to learn how to improve their own with new techniques.
–Throughout his time as a phighter, Sword didn’t meet many people with gears similar to his. And even when he has, he’s never paid too much attention to it.
After a good phight, he’d usually just go home with Rocket and Zuka, and maybe take himself to bed.But today, he got momentarily sidetracked by one polite phighter willing to spar with him.

Summary
HC: All of the Thieves’ Rest trio really try hard to get Katana friends, and they become excited for him whenever they realize he’s made a new one.
–The three of them, Vinestaff, Slingshot, and Shuriken, had been living next to Katana for years. They’d treated each other to gifts, after all– they all came from the same region.
A region that reminded all three of them to treat their elders with respect, a standard which the three of them heavily upheld.But their efforts could become a tad bit overkill the moment Katana brought someone new into his life.

None of the Thieves’ Rest trio understands how to properly wingman a date.

Summary
HC: Scythe doesn’t care a lot for herself in battles, which means Medkit has battled with healing her from near death multiple times.
–Scythe walked into his clinic all screwed up, again. Not like Medkit was having a good shift in the first place, but taking care of a rowdy Inphernal who couldn’t hold her mouth shut wasn’t much better.
Still, taking care of her was easier than seeing her limp around the place injured. (And he felt less guilt when he did the former.)But this time around, wrapping her arm up resulted in a defeated tone of voice:
“Go ahead and tell me about it.”
Which opened his ears to a Southern accent blabbing about an injury.

Summary
HC: Medkit picked up on Sword and Rocket liking each other years ago, and he hates whenever they don’t realize it.
–He’d been invited as the third to walk around the Crossroads with Rocket and Sword, again! Medkit appreciated the desire to bring him along, including them in their little activities when he was back in town—
But he hated watching Sword and Rocket beat around the bush.There was just too much horribly timed staring and uncomfortable silence for him to handle, and he had to fix some part of it himself.

HC: Thieves’ Rest gets an abundance of annoying customers, with Slingshot and Vinestaff having their own regulars. The issue is just how Shuriken third wheels for the two of them.
–‘You can’t be serious.’
It was one of the only sentences Shuriken could use to describe his situations, both of his situations, really.
His sister’s little ‘interest’ was in some rowdy, loud-mouthed, country cultist who’d followed behind her the moment she got into the café, and his brother’s wasn’t much better. Some pouty boxer who insisted on annoying him.Either way, he’d managed to become a third wheel.

Summary
HC: Sword and Rocket made up their own communication when they were younger, and they love to speak with it in front of Medkit. Neither of them taught it to him.
–Being the gracious one between the three of them and the oldest adult, it only felt right for him to occasionally be left out of slang. He had work to focus on, things better than miniature social media tactics.
Except, much to Medkit’s dismay, Sword and Rocket’s language clearly wasn’t one that any simple trend could pick up on.
Their language was a hand-crafted mess.
Which meant that there was no proper way for the two boys to teach him without some messy antics behind their words. -

HC: Whenever Coil goes to the café to annoy Slingshot, not only does he make nonsense orders and a ton of ruckus— he orders foods with joke names.
–Coil finished his training for the day, and where else would he spend his time afterwards? Sure, Skateboard and Boombox were likely free; he had another friend he enjoyed bothering.
Everyone in the Thieves’ Rest had accommodated his behavior while there, but he still intended to make it one person’s problem.

HC: Both Slingshot and Shuriken got proper training while in Darkage, but due to Vine Staff’s banishment— she never got good at hand-to-hand combat.
-Vinestaff had never found any reason to show off her strength in the Crossroads. It wasn’t dangerous enough for her to act tough, and there was no point in translating survival skills into her city life.
However, Shuriken and Slingshot had very different opinions upon seeing a video of another Inphernal being mugged.
Which meant they’d trapped her in what was meant to be a physical training session with less than five minutes for her to prepare.

HC: Medkit can play Russian Roulette with his revolver.
Not often, but he can.
–Scythe, the convincing criminal she was, had finally lightened Medkit up enough to get him out drinking with her.
In no way would this become a frequent activity, but she’d take advantage of his poorer choices while drunk once or twice.
And her way of taking advantage of it as of now?Was grabbing his revolver, playing with it before asking:
“Do y’know how to play Russian Roulette?”
