By the time Ichiban came out of his furiously overloading brain, they were near Hamakita Park and could feel the breeze. It was a narrow, tiny alley, so he naturally walked closer to Zhao. He wanted to hold his hand but he remembered they don’t anymore, not since things got he got entirely cut off one day. No texts, no calls, no nothing.
Ichiban thought they were doing great, going strong. All those nights, murmurs right up his ears, warm embraces after mind-blowing orgasms, and just how Zhao looked so soft and vulnerable under the TV light whenever they watched a bad Western and how he would suddenly pull Zhao into his own arms and he complained that Ichiban was never acting for his age. But all that was taken away when one night when they still had their hands all over each other, like hungry teenagers.

Will doesn't know how he’s ended up in this situation, truly. He’s toying with the possibility that he actually tripped over and died when he got up to answer the door and this is some pre-death hallucination, because there’s no way that he’s really in a situation where Mike Wheeler is sitting on his bed and asking Will to kiss him.
“You- you want me to what?” Will chokes out once he’s stopped coughing – because Mike had chosen to ask that particular question when Will was taking a sip of water, and he almost fucking drowned on it.
“Kiss me,” Mike repeats, confirming that Will wasn’t hallucinating the first time. “For practice.”or;
