    Lucy was fine.

    That’s the part Tim can’t get past, because she was. Walking, talking, promising him she was okay, like she always does. And Tim believed her. He always believes her.

    Until he comes back and she’s coding, and suddenly “fine” turns into a 5% chance, a machine keeping her alive, and 72 hours that will decide everything.

    No one can explain how it happened.
    No one can promise she’ll wake up.
