Summary
A collection of stand-alone vignettes, flashbacks, and side stories that I couldn't fit into the main story of "The Complete Guide to Apology Ramen."
1. Looking Back: 19-year-old Kaeya is down bad, and Diluc either has no idea or he's just as down bad. Either way, Kaeya's going to die pining.
2. Truth and Lie: When they finally go on the promised planetarium date, Kaeya gets a lecture and it's not about the stars.Series

Summary
This is not a love story.
This is a story about food.
This is a story about the time Diluc Ragnvindr told a reporter that none of the dishes in his own restaurant were as good as the ramen Kaeya Alberich made for him in culinary school. He had no reason to bring it up. It wasn't like they were friends. They were barely even classmates, seeing as Kaeya decided to drop out and leave the valedictorian spot to Diluc.
(This is also maybe, possibly, kind of a love story.)

Summary
For the past two years, Tsukishima Kei has been spending his full moons alone. It’s a bit of a pain to deal with the aftermath of his transformations without any help, but he’s a big boy. He can handle it. It’s not a big deal.
Sure, the monthly changes are getting longer, harder, more intense. Sure, there’s a reason he’s no longer welcome in his family home. Sure, he lives in a shitty apartment specifically because it's so shitty he can hardly make it any worse. But he’s a big boy, etcetera, etcetera, and in the grand scheme of things it's really not a big deal.
And then a witch and his familiar move into the equally shitty apartment next door.
This is when things get a little more complicated.

Summary
Kouji laughed, short and bitter. "Do I look okay? Don't answer that."
"You look beautiful, as always," Takuya said carefully, like he would to a cornered wild animal. Kouji had...issues about his issues, sometimes. Some days he would be all dark humor and self-deprecating jokes, and others he would snap that he was fine, really, stop bothering me, but on the worst days he would go soft and quiet like he was afraid of drawing attention to himself. Izumi knew more of the story than Takuya did, but what he did know made his blood boil. He was pretty sure that they were only holding back because they knew he'd end up doing something painful (and illegal) to Kouji's ex-boyfriend.
Kouji laughed again—a little longer, a little less bitter. "Why thank you."

Summary
They called it "sublimination," because there was always a nice way to describe terrible things.
Lance had never seen it happen before, but that was just a fluke, a stroke of luck, a - a sign from the universe that he was meant for something, maybe, because in a tiny brick elementary school of 128 students, he'd been the only one sick at home the day that a fifth grader went up in flames and brought the whole school down with her.
-----
In which Lance just wants to live his life as a radio show host but the people around him keep dragging him into trouble. Also there's magic, and it keeps killing people.

Summary
Diluc gives him a flat stare. “Is there anything specific you’re here for, or are you just here to bother me?”
Kaeya buffs his nails against his chest, inspecting them. “I heard some interesting chatter regarding new movement, and thought I’d drop by and give a friendly warning to the Master of Dawn Winery since it’s in that area, but since I’ve been designated a nuisance…” He heaves an exaggerated sigh and frowns, letting his arm fall to his side. “I should really get out of your hair.” He doesn’t turn to leave just then, though, because he knows Diluc won’t tell him to wait.

Summary
“This better be a booty call,” is the first thing Shanks says when he picks up the phone, not a hint of irony in his voice.
Mihawk would like to be irritated by that, but it sort of is a booty call, so he doesn’t really have the right. He drags his thumb around the smooth curve of the crystal decanter that stays in his home office. “Are you in the city?”

“Oh god,” Kaveh gasps, his hand flying to his mouth. “Al-Haitham has a crush on Cyno.”
Kaveh, who can sense other people's emotions, thinks that Al-Haitham has a crush on Cyno. Al-Haitham thinks Kaveh is an idiot.

Summary
The difference between a labyrinth and a maze is that a labyrinth has one path but a maze has many.
Alhaitham is lying in front of him, breathing shallowly. Kaveh cannot tell if he is asleep or unconscious, but it probably doesn’t matter. He is lying in their bed or he is sinking into a pond filled with lotuses or he is on display like a statue on a bed of marble or he is trapped in the roots of Irminsul – or he is in all of these places at once because this is in Kaveh’s mind, and his head is bursting with the ways that Alhaitham could be lying before him.
Kaveh touches Alhaitham, not with his hands but with his eyes. He takes in the shape of Alhaitham’s body piece by piece, from the tips of his fingers up the slope of his arm towards the curve of his face. “Vision happens in the brain, not in the eyes,” he remembers Alhaitham telling him at some point in the past. It feels like the words are echoing around him, whispers layering over each other.
The wire that attaches to Alhaitham’s earpiece is pulsating; something fluorescent is flowing out of it. Kaveh is strangely convinced that Alhaitham’s mind is coming out of his head and that substance is full of temptation.

Summary
What looks like a straight path to Alhaitham is to Kaveh a dreadful rotation.
Kaveh is trapped in an enclosed space with a strange creature who seems to know all the same words as him, yet with whom he cannot communicate. He has placed his life in the hands of this being and now sits in a frantic stillness, attempting to rationalize ex-post a decision that he is already committed to seeing through.
He reaches out in an attempt to break the silence. His hand is promptly smacked away from its destination.
“I don’t feel like listening to anything right now,” Alhaitham says.
Weakly, Kaveh replies, “It’s not normal to drive for so long in complete silence.”
“It’s not silent to me,” Alhaitham says. “I’m thinking.”
