Before his adoption, Jason didn’t really celebrate his birthday. Willis spent his time—and money— elsewhere, while Catherine (before the drugs took too much of her away) tried her best to make the day less awful. His birthday had never really been anything other than a slightly better-than-normal day.
His first birthday with the Waynes, though? Alfred made him pancakes, Bruce read him his favorite stories, Dick actually seemed like he tolerated him. It made him feel special. For once, Jason wasn’t just a financial burden or another mouth to feed— he was family.

Summary

Cue shenanigans and an extremely distracting red-haired pirate and his equally as frustrating, hawk-eyed boyfriend.

Summary
The sweetest dreams often become the most vile nightmares.
Or at least, that’s what it seemed like to the newly crowned King of the Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy.
Gol D. Roger’s treasure was Luffy’s, and among his closest friends, he was proclaimed King of the Pirates to a litany of cheers. The Strawhats and their allies partied into the night, drinking and eating to their heart's content. As they lay underneath the stars, exhausted and elated, the world was at peace, if only just for a night.
For we all know, peace truly never lasts long.
