Or at least, that’s what it seemed like to the newly crowned King of the Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy.
Gol D. Roger’s treasure was Luffy’s, and among his closest friends, he was proclaimed King of the Pirates to a litany of cheers. The Strawhats and their allies partied into the night, drinking and eating to their heart's content. As they lay underneath the stars, exhausted and elated, the world was at peace, if only just for a night.
For we all know, peace truly never lasts long.
