Ein undefinierbares Geräusch war alles, was Bob zwischen fest zusammen gepressten Zähnen hervorbrachte. Die eigentliche Bedeutung von Peters Frage sickerte nur mit einer eigenartig zähen Verzögerung zu ihm durch. War alles in Ordnung? Sein Kopf tat höllisch weh, ihm war schlecht von den Schuldgefühlen, die seine Kehle zuschnürten, also nein, eigentlich nicht...
Er musste wohl zu lange gezögert haben, denn er fühlte die Bewegung der Matratze unter sich, als Peter sich neben ihm aufsetzte.
„Hast du Schmerzen?“ flüsterte Peter. Seine Stimme klang mit jedem Wort wacher und nun eindeutig alarmiert. „Mist, die Tabletten, die uns die Ärztin mitgegeben hat, liegen noch unten, ich kann sie holen… Bob? Oh Gott, ist dein Gedächtnis noch da? Weißt du, wer du bist? Weißt du, wer ich bin?“Oder:

It was Tord’s idea for the two of them to get helix piercings together.
Most of Tord’s usually turned out fine, even if they could be dumb as fuck or insane as shit.
So, Tord approached this idea with seemingly little doubt.
He had presented this one to Tom with the same flat, unblinking certainty he brought to everything else: supporting evidence already gathered, anticipation of objections, and him deciding what the outcome would be before Tom realized he was meant to have a say in it, because Tord had always, always assumed he was in the right.
