“It’s alright,” Millie smiled, head cocked to the side. Her hands were a burning brand on Elira’s cheeks. The world felt simultaneously too bright and too dark, vision tunneling on Millie’s expression; adoration and love, shame peeking its ugly head from behind the red rose curtain.
“It’s not though.” Elira said, placing her hands atop Millie’s own. She felt herself nuzzle into the touch, eyelashes fluttering for a moment. “It was supposed to be a joke-”
“And it was a shitty joke,” Millie interrupted.
“Are you going to let me get a whole sentence out ever?” Elira asked dryly.
“No,” Millie grinned. “Cause you’re wrong, and I’m right, and I’m not letting you get a word out to embarrass yourself.”
“Too late for that,” Elira chuckled, “The waitress has been staring at our little soap opera for the past five minutes.”
“Let her,” Millie’s heartbeat thundered through her palms, vibrating through Elira’s skin down to her bones, shaking her apart until she was cracked open and Millie could see every part of her bare and laid to rest. “We’re a damn good show anyways.”
“Fuck yeah,” Elira whispered.

Selen froze on the spot.
That damn mermaid.
Dropping her head against Finana’s shoulder, Selen let out a long whine. “Finanaaaaaaaa, that’s not fair.”
Fingers found their way into her hair, gently scratching the back on her neck as Finana giggled in her ear. This on its own was almost enough to make Selen agree on the spot.
“Everything is fair when you want something, you taught me that.”
“Well I’m a dumbass and sometimes you shouldn’t listen to me.” Selen mumbled, burying her face further in the crook of Finana’s neck.
