Herman’s swirling blue eyes from across their double bed are boring holes into his soul. They wash him in calm waves, like the ebbing tides against a gentle shore.
“Hold me?” Robert’s question is low and rough with sleep. His partner blinks before marginally colouring a deep red.
“Yes – of course, anytime.”
