Summary
At first, Yuna thought she saw a ghost. When Rozanov appeared next to her son, at first she didn’t recognize him. She had seen his picture on tv or on tabloids countless times, so it was not like she didn’t know what he looked like, but in those ten years the antagonism between him and her son had grown so much that he resembled, in her mind, a mythological creature. It was like facing a folkloristic monster that you had seen in books and never thought could actually exist.
But there he is, standing still behind Shane, wearing a Boston’s t-shirt – the audacity! – his hands crossed in the front like a young scholar waiting for the teacher to judge his polished uniform, in complete silence, while Shane is mumbling some sort of explanation.
And then Shane says: “This is Ilya.”

Yuna and David had known about Ilya Rozanov since he first crossed their son's path.

The standing crowd cheered again, as princess Quýnh hit the target once more. She bowed in front of her audience with elegance, her long black hair shaken by a pleasant breeze. Then, she turned to look at Andromache, seeking her gaze. And when their eyes met, the princes winked.

Summary
Quynh still hasn’t cried, despite everything. Not that Andy has seen, anyway. The tension of it acts as a barricade. A tightly strung arrow. It quivers. It chills. Sometimes Andy sees her there. Standing. Staring off into some middle distance with her hand wrapped loosely around her own throat. Is she feeling the pulse there as it thrums steady and constant beneath her fingers. The reassuring rush of blood-contained in her veins, the flow of oxygen smoothly through her system. As it should be. As it should have been. Is she just not sure of it yet? That breath will come in and out of her lungs in easy, regular intervals. That her chest will fill and empty without force. Without that cold, aching agony.
Just how many times had she drowned?

We know that she loved and was loved in return, that her final thoughts on the day of her death were about Nile. But who she was outside of that has been lost to the pages of history. Though many people have shown up over the years claiming to be her family, there has been no actual proven familial link to this day. In many ways, Andy Burgess exists because of Nile's letters, her words doing more to immortalize the Hero of Scranton's human existence than any biographical text to date...And perhaps, at the end of the day, this was the greatest demonstration of Nile's love for Andy Burgess: to keep her alive long after she was gone."

The men all go quiet, and Nile wonders if she's just committed some kind of immortal faux pas. "It is irrelevant," Quỳnh finally says. "Old enough to know there is no point looking backwards."
"You're the oldest," Nile murmurs in awe. Older than the Crusades. How much older? A few hundred years more? A thousand?
"No," Nicky says quietly. "Not the oldest."
Canon-divergent AU. Five hundred years ago, they lost Andromache to the sea. Now Quỳnh leads the team, a new immortal just woke up, and some pharmaceutical company is getting a little too interested in their business.
