Summary
“I’m sorry- what?”
Jeongguk’s face flushes as Taehyung freezes, burger halfway to his mouth. His mouth is open and Jeongguk barks out a laugh at the face he’s making. It almost seems to make it easier for him to repeat himself. He straightens up in his seat, giggles fading, and smooths out a crease in his napkin as he clears his throat. He can already smell his scent shifting with his anxiety, souring.
“I was wondering if you’d...help me with my heat.”

Summary
Taehyung, 23, is a magnetic, untouchable model—beautiful, sharp-tongued, and fully aware of the effect he has on people, especially Jungkook. Jungkook, 35, is a controlled, powerful man trapped in a marriage he chose out of duty, not love. Their past is not just history—it’s unfinished business, buried under titles like uncle, nephew, and family.
At a tense family gathering, old wounds crack open. Dojoon, Jungkook’s insecure husband, openly antagonizes Taehyung, pushing him until the situation explodes. Jungkook is forced into the middle—trying to maintain control while clearly failing to protect the man he once loved.
From there, it escalates through chance encounters, sharp dialogue, and deliberate provocation. Taehyung refuses to be small or polite. He teases, challenges, and destabilizes Jungkook with ease—reminding him of intimacy, knowledge, and connection that Dojoon will never have. And Jungkook, despite his best efforts, is visibly unraveling.
And watching it all with a calculating eye is Taehyung’s father, who sees in their connection not romance, but as an opportunity to finally ruin the step-cousin he’s always hated.
