Soobin wasn't sober when he decided to create The Ecstasy, his friends much less so, what shocked him the most was the fact that the band managed to have a small success in the not very well-known part of Busan. I don't even hope that after all this, he still feels as empty as before.
After one of his friends injured his arm, Soobin was forced to find another guitarist who could replace him at least for that period. But he didn't imagine that at the insistence of his friends, he would have to put up with the student president, Choi Yeonjun, who has a crush on him and was extraordinary at playing the guitar.

At any other time that might be a relief, given that Soobin’s grandfather had written most of the training program. But at the moment, it’s left him woefully unprepared as to how to react. Forget the training, Soobin’s entire life up until has left him woefully unprepared for this moment.

Soobin doesn’t know what it means if Yeonjun wants him. Or if it means anything at all. Any more or less than that would-be kiss or his plaintive I love you. And it feels dangerous to hope that they really will continue this conversation tomorrow.
Because it wasn't really a conversation, was it? Just Yeonjun, drunk and lonely and high off of time spent with someone they idolize more than anyone in the world, nostalgic and horny and sentimental.
But that voice inside Soobin whispers, as he closes his eyes. “Maybe it’s more.” It’s the same voice that had convinced Soobin that maybe loving idols was enough to become one. That maybe if he loved singing and dancing enough he could be good enough at it, that maybe if he loved his fans enough he’d be good enough for them.
Maybe…if he loves Yeonjun enough, maybe that will be enough to make Yeonjun love him back.

Nelumpolis, the metropolis of the Lotus, has a clear hierarchy of Alphas who make it and who don't - to keep the order, Omegas are strictly dealt objects, bought at auctions or somewhere else and often held in harems. Soobin is an Alpha of a high rank, but never really felt connected to Omegas. His Alpha friend Beomgyu suggests that he goes to one of these auctions, since he'd gotten his two Omegas from those, too, and is quite happy. And so he would clean them up, kiss a sleepy Junie goodnight in ignorance to his own mental exhaustion, and spoon the elder with great stiffness, falling asleep fitfully.
All in spite of Soobin's true want, his true need to be curled up and cuddled, burrowed into the arms of his loved one. To be coddled till he eventually drifted away in a warm embrace, safe and content.
Those dreadful nights left him empty yet drowning with longing all over again in the morning.
So yeah, he supposed it was the slightest bit stressful to date Yeonjun.
But Soobin would willingly sacrifice his own pleasure to see his hyung happy with him.
Just, for how much longer, he didn't know.
