Judging by the footprints in the snow, he had been up for hours, moving through forms to strike down the invisible enemy that haunted him.

Summary
After Haven, Catherine Trevelyan is convinced that it's not safe for her to be involved romantically. After all, she's already survived the Breach (Three Times!), being thrown through time, an archdemon, an ancient darkspawn magister, and an avalanche. Surely her luck wasn't going to last much longer, and she didn't have time for distractions or the energy to worry about what she would leave behind.
Still, that didn't mean she didn't have desires. Luckily, Skyhold's resident writer has started publishing a serial loosely - very loosely - based on her best friend and his new lover.
Cullen sees how Catherine is getting worn down, and thanks to some encouragement from their friends, he tries to do something about it thanks to a little inspiration from the dwarf's latest book. Anonymously, of course.

Bookmarker's Notes
“I think it’ll be hard to read now, what with all the glowing and such.”
As if to punctuate her point, the mark gave a bright flare.
Cullen stared at it for a moment and then reached to capture it in both of his hands before pressing another kiss to her knuckles. “I suppose you’ll get to make your own fate then.”
She draped it on his armor stand where she’d put away the rest of his things—and that warmed him, too, knowing she was taking care with his armor where he knew she always just let hers stay wherever it landed—and then patted his shoulder. “Come on. It’s still dark. Let’s sleep.”

Summary
What if Cullen and Trevelyan hadn't gotten along at first? He thinks she's spoiled, and she thinks he's a prat.
Follows the the canon of DAI, except for the romantic stuff. This is a friendmance version of their story, and is kinda the slowest of all slow burns.

Bookmarker's Notes
"After you woke up, I didn't think much of you, except that you were lovely but useless. You remember the day at the lake - I called you spoiled and you put me in my place. The whole time I rode out to get your phylactery, I wondered if I was only doing it because you were pretty, if it was vanity that made me want your approval. And then we were friends, and then we were best friends, and I realized it didn't matter that I liked the way you looked, because I really just like you. You're sweet, and funny, and very wise. I think that all the time, but I don't say those things to you because... they're so apparent to me that I assume they're just as apparent to you. But that's not fair, and I apologize."

Summary
They fall in love slowly during the war at the height of the Inquisition. During their romance, the former Circle mage and former templar discover they love one another as more than the Commander and Inquisitor, more than the rose that survived and endured the winter, and more than a forgotten goddess of old. Then war, like everything, ends. They dream of dawn after stars.
***
The love story between Inquisitor Lydia Trevelyan and her Commander. As the Inquisition begins and unravels, so do their own personal struggles, issues, torrid pasts, and feelings for one another. Sprinklings of other characters here and there. Slightly diverges from canon. Rated E for later chapters.Series

“I’m not good at this at all,” she complained again. “Really.”
“What are you talking about? You won.”
“Wait, what?” Lydia looked at the chessboard, disbelieving. “I won? That’s impossible! I’m terrible at this! You…you threw me the game!”
"I would do no such thing," he lied.
