He felt like an idiot, he would look so pathetic sitting here alone. And now Dazai was walking over here, they hadn’t made eye contact yet, but he was sure they would soon. Dazai would give him a mocking smirk and pat his shoulder like a kid. So, like every Dazai-induced decision he made, he did something that in retrospect would make things worse than they were to begin with.
He turned to the silver-haired boy beside him, grabbed his hand, And here it goes, the idiotic thing, “Can you pretend to be my boyfriend for five minutes?”

When Akutagawa joined the agency, Atsushi told Akutagawa if he ever needed any help with anything, he'd be happy to. It was just meant to be polite, so he hadn't expected Akutagawa at his door with a strange request in the middle of the night.

Akutagawa looked up at him, “Have you ever kissed anyone?”. It sounded as innocent as earlier but Atushi had been fooled once already, so he kept his guard up and focused on not becoming a blushing mess in front of silver eyes.
“Uh, Yeah.” Was all he could manage, gulping at the furrow that appeared in Akutagawa’s eyebrow.
“Who?” He said, frowning. God. Atushi was going to puke his guts out and then die. How could Akutagawa be saying all of this so casually while he was practically wrapped in Atsushi’s arms? Atsushi considered asking if this was some sort of elaborate prank against him as he had thought earlier.

“Can’t sleep?” Said a voice, warm with mirth.
Akutagawa blinked, drawing himself out of the staring contest he’d been having with the ceiling fan for an hour, probably longer. He was lying on the couch a thin blanket covering him from his chin down to his toes. He had banished himself to the couch for his impromptu sleepover at Dazai’s. Really he shouldn’t be here. Everything about this was wrong. But alas, he had never been able to predict where the deadly asteroid cosplaying as his life was headed.
“I’m fine.” He muttered drawing the blanket over his head. It was a childish attempt at foregoing object permanence. Maybe if he couldn’t see Dazai, Dazai couldn’t see him. Then this would be over and he could stare at the ceiling fan once more.
