Summary
A decision can change everything. In one world, Casca Highbottom chooses banishment to the districts as punishment for Coriolanus cheating in the Hunger Games. This sets off events leading to sixty-five more years of the horrific Games he tried to stop, and history forgetting Lucy Gray Baird. That is not this world.
Although there wouldn’t be a day that passed when he didn’t regret his decision with the same grief and weight as his invention of the Games, Casca Highbottom choosing to have a boy’s tongue removed was, in the most cruel and twisted way, the greatest thing he’d ever do in his life.

Oh god, oh god. He's time traveled - Time traveled!- and before the thought that he's not in Kansas anymore can finish, the pleasant laughing man on the ground below spontaneously turned in his seat, hooking his arm over the back of it, and looked right at him.
Which is insane. And what was even more insane was that he had a huge grin on his face as though Peter were the best thing he'd ever seen in his life.
"Hello there friend, care to come down? We won't bite, I promise you" As soon as the words leave his mouth, the gathering below all look up too with expressions varying from confused to shocked, and the red haired guy gives off an alarmingly loud yelp that he cuts off with his hands: Peter gives it to him that it probably is a little scary suddenly seeing a kid stuck to the ceiling.
-In which Peter finds himself launched back to 1962, and unbeknownst to him an entirely different reality after being hit by Thanos during the battle, and ends up enrolled on a mission to prevent World War III. All while trying to work out how to get back home.

District 12 seemed to be covered in a perpetual state of dirt and grime. No matter how many times Coriolanus washed his hands, a fine layer of dust still seemed to remain. But the Peacekeepers provided him with an order he didn’t know he craved. Rules and guidelines in the place of endless social games and judgmental stares. Plus, he got to eat. Every meal there was something. Something nutritious, sustaining, and even on occasion tasty.
And there was Sejanus. Sejanus from the Capitol, with his brown eyes and tan skin, head shaved the same way as Coriolanus’. Why the boy had followed him to 12, he didn’t know. But if this was the company that he was forced to keep, his life must have truly reached its lowest point.

Tenant after tenant, none of them stayed longer than a month or two: kept claiming their stuff was being moved around and they could hear piano music playing at night. He's one last tenant away from giving in and selling his beloved home when a peculiar man, his equally unusual sister and her daughter apply to live in the house.
He expects they'll end up running out practically screaming just the same as all the others. He is wrong.
