Just as Stephen Strange is about to cast a spell to make everyone forget who Peter Parker is—he remembers reading about a risky spell long ago—one that would allow Peter, MJ, and Ned to time travel back into their younger bodies, giving them a second chance to make things right.
Despite knowing the risks of casting such a dangerous spell, Stephen goes through with it—driven by his inner-guilt stemming from the knowledge that while Peter's tampering had engendered the spell to become unstable—Stephen's arrogance and recklessness had been the true cause of Peter's recent hardships—and the subsequent destruction of the entire multiverse.
When Peter, MJ, and Ned find themselves back in the year 2016—they must try their best to balance the butterfly effect of making changes to the timeline—whilst also acting in accordance with behaviors that will change the results of upcoming events in their favor.
