Senku’s heart leaped as he got a call from Xeno in the middle of the game. His mentor drawled in a gentle tone, said he just cannot control it, he messed up, that he needs him right now. Senku immediately saved the game and rushed to Xeno’s apartment, took out the duplicate key, opened the door with ease. Upon arriving, Xeno did not wait behind the mat. So Senku checked his phone for further surprises, and there were of course, further surprises.
“I’m in the bathroom.”
So that’s the game his Sensei was playing? Senku decided to take off his shirt while making his way to the bathroom. Xeno always loved his little shows. With these proud thoughts and further fantasies about tonight, Senku opened the door. Then there’s Xeno, sitting on the toilet lid, with hands matted with blood, and terrible-looking hair.
Next to him lies a stranger’s dead body in the bathtub.

Man do I fucking love this fic! It's slow burn, long as hell with amazing writing, AND finished? With a finished sequel? I literally couldn't ask for better. I've been partial to this ship since listening to BMC, and after rediscovering my love for it, I've been fed so very well. Everyone feels so in-character and the story is a natural continuation of the original plot, while also coming up with its own unique ideas to captivate the reader with more than just the main couple.
And GOD, Squip! Jeremy! I love them so much!! The development of their relationship is so organic and the obsession and protective protectiveness that grows between them that defies the wills of those around them (and not always for the better, which I LOVE) makes me so endeared to them. The ending of this fic is so perfect, and I couldn't be happier that it continues from there. 10/10, one of the greats!
