“Stelle,” he says, and then it’s like all of his strings are cut at once. He falls.

He seems to be the only one who doesn’t know about it too as people start getting fidgety with excitement the closer to the end they get.

After all, he and Yunli are very similar. They both are being taught and raised by famed and respected people, who are also in high positions of power. They are both strong and skilled, sharing a love for swords and swordplay. They’re also both about the same age and bearing plenty of expectations, responsibilities, and obligations on their shoulders.
Yunli didn’t seem to want to pressure him into saying anything he didn’t want to. She could be the first person to hear his inner thoughts. She didn’t seem like an awful person to confide in either.
He could trust her, right?
