   Summary

   Malcolm Hawke passes away when his children are very young leaving Leandra Hawke struggling to care for three children. Thayris sets about helping his family in any way he can, at first simply begging on the streets, but eventually the money isn't enough so he learns to pick pockets and locks and sometimes sells himself.
