Chapter Text
The curse was broken.
Elizabeth of Liones had kept all her memories, thus entering a mild depression ever since she couldn't see his face. Everyone tried to console her, make her feel like herself again, but the grief she had would not get her anywhere. The Holy War had ended in yet another treaty, one that would leave the demons alive, as long as they didn't bring another War. The Goddesses detested seeing the creatures of darkness soaring the sky and keeping their stronghold, Camelot. No creature beside the demons were allowed to step on their territory that had become theirs because of the Treaty, or the Demons had the right to kill the intruder. Zeldoris of Piety was the only Commandment left once Estarossa was no more, and the Archangel Mael had been brought back.
The Demon Clan was in a risky situation, yet they had managed to bring everyone under their knees until the treaty was made. Zeldoris still claimed to be a Commandment, even though it was clear that he no longer had one, after letting Meliodas absorb it. Meliodas had finally become the Demon King, kicking his father from the throne, and removing the curse that had caused him to suffer for 3000 years. The poor Demon, no longer being able to feel most emotions (Ban only managed to bring a small portion of his emotions from the purgatory), said his final goodbyes and disappeared from Britannia, entering the Demon World. He would occasionally call his brother like his father liked to do and tell him what to do next. Chandler and Cusack remained in the castle, leading the lower demons, and keeping Zeldoris some company. The other Demons that had been bound by the Seal had all escaped, and the Demon clan had a good amount of fighters that weren't Red Demons and such, plus having citizens that took over the few human homes that were still standing in Camelot. Their numbers increased to a stable level.
The Seven Deadly Sins were meeting with the Goddess clan, discussing simple matters, for there was no longer a war. Derierie decided to tag along. They were led by Elizabeth, who wasn't eager to meet with the Archangels. They stepped inside of the new Stigma base and sat down. The Sins had been humiliated after they could do nothing against the forces of the Demon Clan and Meliodas. They remembered when he flew in front of them, much more powerful than they had imagined. He had absorbed five commandments at that time. He was covered by so much darkness, yet he wasn't insane like Mael had been when he used to be Estarossa. All Elizabeth could look was at his face. That bitter emotionless visage on his face made Elizabeth and the Sins shiver. They could feel the evil behind his onyx eyes... but she knew that Meliodas inside wanted to stay with them and live his life like he previously did. The meeting started, addressing a few issues such as wild Red demons terrorizing towns on the outskirts and such. Finally, Rueduciel stood up, and his smile became a frown.
"Something has happened to the Magic in our World," he started, closing his wings. "Have you all felt it?"
Everyone nodded, realizing the problem. King stepped in,
"What could this mean?"
"It probably won't impact much..." Rueduciel tried to comfort the worried crowd. "From what we know, the limits of our World's magic has been changed."
"Don't ask how we know this," Sariel added on, now waving at Rueduciel to continue.
"The Demon Clan had been behaving well -a good thing, of course- but this may mean that some conflicts may form."
"Such as?" Elizabeth asked, feeling her heartbeat increase. She wanted this to mean one thing.
"Their Demon King will be able to travel to our world."
Everyone stopped what they were doing. They all stared at each other quietly, leading to an awkward silence. Meliodas was going to return?
All eyes were on Elizabeth, who was biting her lower lip. Rueduciel resumed,
"With the direct contact of their King -Meliodas- now they don't only have their ruler with them to order them what to do, but the power level of the clan will increase," He sighed. "This may be troublesome."
"They signed the treaty," Merlin joined in, crossing her legs. "They weren't the ones who broke the previous treaty and started the original Holy War."
She had really done it. The Archangels' eyes filled with fury as they glanced at her. She laughed but quickly stopped. Rueduciel cleared his throat and continued.
Zeldoris was sitting down thinking when he heard a large crash inside the throne room. Quickly, he ran there to see what had caused such commotion. He was about to start screaming until he saw that a few Demons had slowed down, and they were looking at someone who shouldn't have been there. Their King.
"Meliodas?!?" Zeldoris screamed, forgetting that he was the Demon King. "I mean- Demon King? What are you doing here?"
The Demon King was shocked himself as he scanned the familiar terrain. He faced Zeldris who was now kneeling.
"I don't know."
