impossible affairs

Summary:

Bakugou gets a wig, fake glasses and Kaminari's clothes - he plans to play a prank on the others, but... nothing goes according to keikaku (keikaku means plan)

Notes:

This adorable nonsense heavily builds on Kylo Ren's SNL skit. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaOSCASqLsE) Do yourself a favour and watch it, it's hilarious and some of the jokes are taken from there.
But it's easy to understand without the video too.

Also: please, don't take this seriously; and everyone is over 18.

Work Text:

It was a simple, quiet weekend due to not many of them being in the dorms. It was the end of the third year, most of them had already moved out to their agency’s houses. Some of them stayed, because they either didn’t find a permanent agency yet (Bakugou), thought it was more comfortable (Kirishima), didn’t want to accept their high school years were nearing their end (Midoriya) or just simply liked the permanence of things and didn’t want anything to change (Todoroki).

Midoriya and Todoroki were sitting at table in the living room. Midoriya was browsing on the internet, and Todoroki had a book in his hand, feet up on a chair. He was free to do so as Iida wasn’t there to reprimand him. He had already moved out to live at Ingenium’s offices. The dorms were calmer and wilder at the same time in his absence.

Kirishima was currently loitering in the kitchen – Bakugou wasn’t there to tease him, and he was intent on making something sweet and unhealthy for them. He liked that – making something nice and warm for the others. And in return, everyone was a little bit in love with Kirishima.

Especially as he was now – shirtless save from an apron, face smudged with flour, whistling and humming cheerfully.

Todoroki couldn’t even fault Midoriya for almost falling from his seat when they heard Kirishima dropped something to the floor. Todoroki himself was leaning to the side to catch sight from that glorious, very manly backside as Kirishima was bending over.

It was an open secret anyway what they had between the four of them. Nothing serious, certainly not tangible, but something very much there.

Bakugou called it friends with benefits, because he was crude and liked to be inappropriate. It wasn’t exactly true… they didn’t have sex. Not with everyone involved. At least, not yet. Todoroki really hoped it would change one day.

Midoriya said it was what really good friends did when they had such a weird, stressful life like them. Well, Todoroki really hoped Midoriya didn’t do everything they did with his other friends. He was way too popular for that to be healthy. But who knew. Midoriya was weird already, so he might as well do it. Todoroki had seen the looks Hitoshi had sent him. But that’s Midoriya for you. Someone you easily fell in love with.

Very similarly to Kirishima. Because he was chill. He was up to anything – the good, the bad, the dirty. Work out in the gym at 1am when one of them couldn’t find sleep thanks to some nightmare? Kirishima was there in three minutes. Debouched making out in a completely unsuitable place to celebrate being alive after a mission? Kirishima was totally down for it.

What they had was 100% unrealistic and probably dysfunctional, but Todoroki really didn’t bother thinking about it too hard. They were almost ready to move out and start their lives as sidekicks officially. Save innocent civilians, battle the darkness, all the poetic stuff. They deserved something fun and easy. And they couldn’t have handled normalcy if it was handed to them. Especially not Todoroki – he had enough of perfect lives, because he knew. He knew that they were only bright and appealing because the lights were directly on the characters. So you didn’t see the shadows behind them.

Todoroki refocused his eyes on his book and stopped thinking so hard. Bakugou was nowhere to be found, much to Todoroki’s surprise. These days he was always bickering with Midoriya or Kirishima. Or bothering Todoroki in the gym. They didn’t have many occasions to spend without him. So Todoroki intended to make the most of it. Read as much as he could, then hog Midoriya all to himself. If they managed to be alone for more than an hour, Todoroki might have the chance to coax the clothes down from Midoriya. He usually got the chance, but with Bakugou breathing down their necks… it was hard to stay in a romantic mood.

Then as if a demon summoned by dirty prayer, Bakugou walked into the room. Todoroki rolled his eyes at him – he was wearing thick rimmed glasses and a very cheap, very obvious fake moustache. To top it off, he was wearing a black wig and Kaminari’s clothes. Because he was the only one who had a shirt with Pikachu on the front. And they were all a little bit too tight on Bakugou.

Still, despite the clothes and the other accessories, it was painfully obvious it was him. Maybe if he opted for some coloured contacts or smiled… but this way… even his usual gait was the same.

As he flopped down at the table in front of them, Todoroki said goodbye to his normal, peaceful evening.

“Hello there,” greeted Midoriya the newcomer. “Who are you?”

“I’m an exchange student,” said Bakugou. “My name is Matt.”

“Obviously,” murmured Todoroki, and turned the page.

“Exciting!” said Midoriya. “And what brings you here?”

“I heard you’ve got a very cool classmate,” Bakugou started. “Bakugou Katsuki.”

“Oh yes!” Midoriya’s face shone just by the mention of Bakugou’s name. “He does go to our class, yes.”

Todoroki blinked slowly and turned to Midoriya. Was he being serious? How could he not recognise Bakugou?

But Bakugou continued talking, safe in the knowledge that he hadn’t been recognised. “I heard he has the best quirk.”

“Yeah, he does!” nodded Midoriya eagerly. “I really admire him, you know. He is amazing.” Todoroki rolled his eyes again, and sighed deeply. Morons. He continued reading, because this was obviously going nowhere.

“A buddy of mine saw Bakugou take off his shirt during training,” Bakugou continued.

Midoriya gasped excitedly and leaned closer. “And? What happened? Did he see Kacchan half-naked?”

“Yeah, he said Bakugou had an eight-pack. That he was shredded.” Bakugou had his obnoxiously attractive smirk on his face, which was working wonders on Midoriya – just as usual. Even with the ridiculous costume on.

“Well, yeah.” Midoriya frowned a bit. “Is that something worth talking about? Do people really talk about Kacchan’s chest?”

“Nonsense.” Todoroki sat up, and put his book on the table. “I heard,” he started, leaning in conspiratorially over the table, “that Bakugou is a punk bitch.”

“What?!” Bakugou asked with fuming hands thrown on the table. Even his moustache was quivering with rage.

But it was nothing compared to Midoriya’s reaction. “Todoroki-kun! That’s not a nice thing to say!”

“It is what I have heard, Midoriya.” Todoroki crossed his arms and grinned at Bakugou. “I’m only telling how it is. Do you know what else I have heard?”

“No, what?” Midoriya closed his laptop and turned his undivided attention to Todoroki.

Todoroki pitched his voice low. “That he is a sap. He has a diary and writes love poems into it.”

“No,” gasped Midoriya in disbelief.

“No!” shouted Bakugou in indignation.

“Do you know who he writes these poems for?” asked Midoriya.

Todoroki clicked his tongue and turned to face Bakugou fully. He wanted to see his face in its full glory as he continued talking. “Of course I do. It’s for the boy he is so very horny for.”

“Todoroki,” growled Bakugou in warning.

“It’s for you, Midoriya.”

“For me?” squeaked Midoriya, surprise written all over his freckled face. “Surely not…”

“I’ll fucking kill you!” Bakugou jumped on the table, but Todoroki was already slipping backwards on a slab of ice.

“Yes, for you, Midoriya,” Todoroki continued calmly. “It must be true as heard it from Kirishima!” It was a complete, utter lie.

At the mention of his name, Kirishima popped his head from the kitchen. “What are you guys doing?” He had caught sight on the other boy on the table and he jogged there. “What’s going on? Why are you on the table?”

“I’m going to kill that fucker!” screamed Bakugou.

“Why? What have you done, Todoroki?” Kirishima was calmly continuing with mixing the brownie batter in a bowl.

“I was telling Matt, the exchange student and Midoriya about Bakugou’s diary.”

“You know about that?” gasped Kirishima. “But it’s a secret. He doesn’t even show that to me.”

“Yes, I do.” Todoroki had to jump over a couch, because Bakugou lunged at him. “Half the pages are full of Bakugou’s scribbling Katsuki Midoriya over them! Calling himself Mr Midoriya!”

“Die! Die! Die!” Bakugou chanted as he kept on trying to catch Todoroki.

“The other half is full of Katsuki Kirishima!”

“You’re so done, so done, I’ll kill you!”

Bakugou made to grab Todoroki, but instead he got a pillow slammed straight into his face.

“Oh! Does he really write that?” mused Kirishima, rubbing his face. “I thought he was in love with you, Todoroki.”

“What?” asked Todoroki, freezing on the spot. “Wack.”

“I’ve always thought he was in love with you, Kirishima-kun,” said Midoriya, resting his cheek on his scarred palm. “Because you are so nice.”

“You are nice, Midoriya! And manly.”

Bakugou looked around the room, face pale and haunted. “I heard Bakugou Katsuki doesn’t have feelings. No feelings. Absolutely none.”

“Aw, man,” whined Kirishima. “Why would you say that? Who are you?” He walked there and put his arm around Bakugou’s shoulder, pulling him away from Todoroki. “Well, no matter who you are, let’s just be buds. Don’t believe all that bullshit about Bakugou, bro!” Kirishima ruffled the black wig, almost pulling the whole thing off. “He is the sweetest guy, I’m telling you! He loves Midoriya dearly!”

“No, he doesn’t,” snarled Bakugou, but Kirishima was holding him tightly, giving him no chance to escape.

“No, Kirishima-kun, he loves you, I’m certain.”

Todoroki sighed and came to stand next to them. “Guys… Bakugou, not this total stranger, who is definitely not Bakugou, loves both of you clueless idiots.”

“What?” asked Midoriya and Kirishima in unison.

Bakugou growled and tore himself out of Kirishima’s hold. He righted the wig and the glasses and then glared at Todoroki.

“Look who’s talking about being clueless,” he growled. “I love you just as well. I mean, eh, Bakugou does. Who is not me and whom I have never seen, my buddy did. So I have been told, but those are the feelings he has. And he definitely, most definitely does not spend time thinking about them. He is too busy… too busy being shredded. With an eight-pack.”

Todoroki had never heard Bakugou say that much in one breath. Fuck, he must have been telling the truth then.

“Wait a minute,” started Midoriya as he inched closer. “Is this moustache fake?” He tore it down and he gasped in horror. “Kacchan!”

“Baku-bro, how can you deceive us like that! How unmanly!”

Bakugou gaped at Kirishima. “From everything that had been said… this is what you focus on?”

“Well, I’m not surprised to hear that you’re in love with Midoriya and Todoroki,” shrugged Kirishima.

“Are you guys fucking serious?” asked Todoroki, but he didn’t expect an answer. He was truly surrounded by beautiful, shredded idiots.

“He was wearing a moustache!” reasoned Midoriya. “How could we have known?”

Bakugou threw his wig down and stepped up to Kirishima. “And don’t forget I’m in love with you too. Get that into your shitty perfect hair, Kirishima.”

“Bakugou… that is… this is…” sniffed Kirishima, and Bakugou took off his glasses.

He cleared his throat and sniffed once. “Whazzup nerds, let’s blow some shit up. And let’s not talk about this ever again.”

Kirishima blinked twice. “You love me too?” He wasn’t about to not mention this ever again. He wanted to talk. Right now.

“As far as I know, you’re stupid, not deaf,” groused Bakugou, crossing his arms unhappily.

“You’re fair game then,” stated Kirishima eagerly. “Free game!”

“I am a what now?!”

Kirishima grabbed his shoulder. “Free game!”

Midoriya was there too, helping him understand. “Free to hug!”

“Absolutely not,” said Bakugou, slapping their hands away. “Get this stupid gay shit out of your heads.”

“Free to kiss,” objected Midoriya with a pout.

“No!” screamed Bakugou, uncaring about the way Kirishima and Midoriya both shouted ‘yes’ in unison.

Todoroki snorted. They didn’t know how to talk to this idiot. “Free to fuck,” he amended.

Bakugou gasped and clenched his fists. “Ok, let’s go.”

Midoriya and Kirishima stared at him dumbly.

“You’re going to have to learn how to talk sense into him,” explained Todoroki, gently nudging them after Bakugou. “You’ll get the hang of it soon. I promise.”

“Hurry up, losers,” called back Bakugou over his shoulder. “The last one to get into the room is the lost one who gets to come,” he taunted.

He didn’t expect to be run over and pulled into the room last. “Wack,” he squeaked in fear, but he shouldn’t have worried. He had absolutely no right to complain about what had been done to him.
