Chapter 1: Part 1

Chapter Text

“You call me short one more time, and I’m telling your mother what I heard you call Taehyung during dinner last night,” Jimin glares at Jungkook, the younger smugly smirking from his spot on the couch.

“It’d just be he said, she said,” Jungkook shrugs.

Jimin scoffs. “We both know your mother would believe me in a second. Don’t test me,” Jimin says, crossing his arms.

“I don’t think you’d be able to reach her at this hour. Or any hour, to be honest,” Jungkook says laughing at his own joke.

“Listen here you little brat, I didn’t go through all those years of martial arts to take shit from a rabbit-”

“Okay, time to break it up kids,” Taehyung says walking from the kitchen only to hop over the couch and land ungracefully in Jungkook’s lap, almost taking off the younger’s head at the same time.

“But it was just getting fun. Jiminie’s so cute when he’s angry,” Jungkook whines. Jimin glares harder.

“Just wait till Taehyung’s not around to save you,” Jimin says, “Until then I’m going t unwrap all your presents and replace them with coal.”

Jungkook gasps, “You wouldn’t.”

“Watch me,” Jimin challenges. Jimin starts to walk away to the closet that all the presents are stored in. Jungkook tries to follow him, but he doesn’t get very far with Taehyung in his lap.

“Babe,” Jungkook whines, trying to shove him off but Taehyung just makes himself more comfortable. Jimin lets out an evil laugh.

“Min Yoongi! Get control of your boyfriend! He’s trying to ruin Christmas!” Jungkook yells, wiggling pointlessly under Taehyung.

Jimin hears Yoongi snicker from his bedroom, and a few seconds later he emerges with tousled hair and sleepy eyes.

“No, he’s trying to ruin your Christmas. Something I can’t say really involves me,” Yoongi says, wrapping his arms around Jimin’s waist as the younger leans against him.

“All my hyungs are evil,” Jungkook pouts, sinking into a cushion.

“Everyone is your hyung, Jungkook. You’re like five,” Jimin teases, now having the advantage.

Yoongi chuckles, tightening his arms around Jimin’s waist and burying his face into the side of Jimin’s neck. “At least someone thinks my jokes are funny,” Jimin says.

“He’s biased, he doesn’t count,” Jungkook says rolling his eyes.

“Everyone’s biased. With that logic, you just said no one’s option matters about anything,” Taehyung pipes up. Jungkook rolls his eyes again.

The two start bickering again just as Yoongi’s lips start making their way down Jimin’s neck. Jimin sighs, closing his eyes, and leaning heavier into Yoongi’s hold.

“Get a room,” Taehyung complains when he notices the couple.

“This is my apartment dipshit,” Yoongi mumbles.

“Then why’d you invite us over?” Taehyung glares.

“I didn’t. You just showed up to raid my kitchen,” Yoongi says, before going back to the task at hand.

When neither of them moves, Yoongi looks up, ”this is your cue to leave.”

“Fuck,” Taehyung says, jumping up to leave with Jungkook not too far behind. Both Jimin and Yoongi laughing as they watch the two fall over each other.

~~~
Snowflakes fall onto Yoongi’s eyelashes, and the red and green coloured string lights reflect off the bright white specks.
It’s possibly one of the most beautiful things Jimin has ever seen.
“What?” Yoongi asks softly, his voice almost being lost in the Christmas music playing through the park speakers and the hustle of the people around them.
“You’re beautiful,” Jimin says not trying to hide his thoughts. Yoongi’s cheeks burn red and Jimin’s sure it’s not because of the cold.
“That’s my line,” Yoongi says. Jimin giggles, linking his arm through the others.
“Not anymore. I now declare you as the most beautiful person alive,” Jimin says, laughing.
Yoongi shoves him lightly, but Jimin doesn’t let go, instead resting his head on Yoongi’s shoulder.
“I try to bring you out for hot cocoa, and I’m rewarded by being embarrassed,” Yoongi complains, his tone playfully melodramatic.
“You love it,” Jimin says.
“And what made you come to that conclusion? Was it the outrage on my face that tipped you off or did my complaining give you the idea?” Yoongi says rolling his eyes.
“It was the pretty blush on your cheeks,” Jimin replies, smirking.
Yoongi groans, using his free hand to pull the scarf up higher on his face.
“Don’t hide from me. It’s a crime to keep that much beauty from the world,” Jimin says in a sing-song voice, giggling into his hand as Yoongi glares a hole into the side of his head.
“Why am I dating you? I can’t bring you anywhere,” Yoongi says, sounding exasperated.
Jimin laughs loudly, lacing his fingers through Yoongi’s before pulling him forward to look at all the lights that decorate the town square.
