Work Text:
Like most mornings Namjoon’s woken up by Kim Taehyung screaming at the top of his lungs.
“It’s snowing! It snowing! Guys get up it’s snowing outside!”
Namjoon groans into his pillow and attempts to fight off the morning light for as long as possible.
His bedroom door is slung open with much more force than needed. “Hyung, guess what?”
Namjoon can tell it’s the over hyper dongsaeng without even opening his eyes. “Go away Tae, it’s too early for this shit,” Namjoon complains, sinking deeper into his covers.
“Please, hyung,” Taehyung whines, “It’s the first snow of the season. You can’t miss it just for sleep.”
Namjoon sighs, “N-”
“Get up grumpy pants, I’ll make you coffee,” a smooth voice comes from the hallway of his open bedroom door.
Namjoon cracks his eyes open to look at Seokjin standing in the hallway. Namjoon’s head falls on the pillow in defeat.
Taehyung shouts in victory despite Namjoon not having verbally confirmed anything. Namjoon hears Taehyung’s excited footsteps run out the door toward the living room.
A hand gently rubs his back. Namjoon turns his head to look up at Seokjin who’s smiling lovingly back down at him.
“We got hazelnut flavoured yesterday,” Seokjin tempts with an empathetic smile.
Namjoon’s unable to resist smiling back, “I don’t like you.”
“That’s why you love me,” Seokjin laughs before disappearing to make the coffee.
Namjoon contemplates staying in bed but eventually the smell of fresh coffee drifts into his room, and he’s unable to resist. Unsteadily he makes his way to the dorm’s makeshift kitchen. S eokjin smiles at him from his spot behind the counter.
“It’s too quiet in here, where’d Taehyung go,” Namjoon asks, happily accepting the steaming cup from Seokjin’s hands.
“Probably to drag Jungkook out of bed downstairs,” Seokjin says, letting Namjoon sink into his arms, resting his chin on the younger’s head.
“Wonder if he’ll finally regret giving him a key,” Namjoon says as he tries to drink the liquid without burning his tongue.
“I doubt it, he’s way too whipped for that.” As if on cue, Taehyung burst through the front door, a half-asleep Jungkook not too far behind.
“Why don’t you guys have your coats on yet? I’ve been gone for a full five minutes,” Taehyung asks, practically jumping off the walls. Namjoon would be questioning what kind of drugs the younger was on had he not seen Taehyung during the Christmas season in previous years.
Namjoon rolls his eyes and Seokjin just laughs. “Why don’t you go get Jimin, and we’ll be ready by the time you get back,” Seokjin suggests.
“But that’s halfway across campus,” Taehyugn whines.
“Guess you better start running,” Seokjin says. Taehyung’s eyes widen, and before Namjoon can blink, he’s halfway down the hallway and dragging Jungkook with him.
“That should buy us some time,” Seokjin says.
Namjoon snorts, “yeah maybe another ten minutes.”
“Fifteen. Jimin will want to grab Hobi and Yoongi too,” Seokjin reasons.
Namjoon nods, “fair point.”
“Let’s get changed and we can spend the rest of the time finishing our drinks," Seokjin says before leaning over to kiss Namjoon's forehead and walking to his bedroom. Namjoon left to stand in the kitchen with a content feeling settling over him.

It took all of five minutes of being outside for his lovely boyfriend to turn into a cold-blooded traitor.
Namjoon was innocently sipping his coffee, watching Taehyung try to build a snowman out of the thin layer of ice on the ground when freezing snow was shoved down the back of his shirt, and he saw his life flash before his eyes.
“Kim Seokjin, I’m going to murder you!” Namjoon yells as he chases after the older in an attempt to get revenge.
Seokjin only laughs in response, Taehyung and Jungkook both enjoying the view.
Namjoon’s never had good luck, but for once he’s not the first one to trip on the slippery ground. Although, he was only a few steps behind Seokjin which leads to him also land on the cold, wet ground.
Namjoon takes the opportunity to shower the traitor in whatever half-melted snow he can get his hands on.
Seokjin laughs as he struggles to get away, eyes closed from the force of his smile and skin reflecting the bright white of their surroundings. Namjoon faulters, taking a moment to just stare at the boy who looks like he’s literally glowing.
Seokjin opens his eyes when he realises the sudden stillness and stares back with an expression that can only be described as lovestruck.
Namjoon’s sure his face reflects it.
(It only lasts for a few seconds before Seokjin shoves a ball of snow in his face and they both start running.)

Kim Namjoon is not to be trusted with normal holiday activities.
That is the one thing Seokjin has learned from this experience.
You leave him alone to decorate the tree for one minute, and he breaks half the ornaments.
You turn your back for a second to mix some icing, and he’s eaten half the gingerbread house.
You look away and grab some cookies? He accidentally drinks spiked eggnog.
Well, that last one was more Taehyung’s fault, but Seokjin’s still entertaining the thought of bubble wrapping his boyfriend.
Don’t even get him started with the disaster that was Namjoon’s attempt at wrapping gifts.
It’s not that he doesn’t appreciate the help, but he’s pretty sure they would have looked better had he just ground them in the blender.
He watches Namjoon sit on the living room floor laughing and joking with the rest of their friends trying to find the scissors that are right beside him. There's a piece of tape in his hair and the wrappings not that neat but Seokjin can't find it in himself to be upset.
He smiles fondly at the group, content to watch from the sidelines as soft Christmas music flows through the dorm and Namjoon's gentle laughter fills his ears.
