Summary
Spiderman was Dead. Peter Parker... was not dead, thank you very much.
Peter had been Spiderman essentially his whole life, he’d taken on the name when he was fifteen. But as he got older he realized it was impossible to keep the two lives separate. It didn’t take long for Spiderman's enemies to become Peter Parker’s, and Peter had a hell of a lot more to lose.
So when his night-time activities began to threaten Aunt May, Peter decides to hang up the web slinger mask for good, Spiderman is as good as dead as far as Peter is concerned. He’s content to live the rest of his live working as one of Stark’s top scientists and growing old with his boyfriend, Wade. Peter is ready to leave the hero work to the actual heroes.
But his domestic life doesn’t last for long, Peter is forced to face the fact that Spiderman is a part of him, whether he likes it or not.
And right now, New York needs their friendly neighborhood spider back.
