Setting his tray down Izuku could feel the stare of his classmates on him. He started to eat trying to ignore the stares of the others around him, being unable to he brings his head up to find no one staring at him. ‘I must be paranoid or something’ he thinks to himself as he keeps eating. Only to feel the stares of his peers on him again, as he finished most of his meal and moved on to the veggies which on that day happened to be broccoli. He could feel the tension become thick enough to cut with a knife. And how everyone seemed to be holding their breaths. Ignoring it he took a bite of the broccoli and the first sound he heard was an explosion. Then a bunch of screaming from everyone around him.
“Deku what the fuck are you doing?”
“Eating food I think”, he said feeling so confused, “Midoriya I do not condone behavior such as this,” Iida said chopping his hand in a robotic motion like usual. Though this seemed to confuse Izuku even more.
“Deku-kun this is kinda disturbing to me”, Uraraka added in after a few moments of tense silence. Which seemed to rouse Todoroki out of his seemingly existential crisis, “Midoriya I think I speak for everyone else here when I say that, that was wrong and messed up and I can’t believe you did that, Bakugou maybe but you no”
“Hey!, shut the fuck up icyhot, even I wouldn’t be able to do that!”
Everyone seemed to nod their head in agreement to that except the confused broccoli boy. “Guys you’re scaring me what did I do?!”
At that, they all snapped their heads back to him and creepily said, “You committed cannibalism”, which caused Izuku to tilt his head sideways in a cute manner, which caused another explosion.
Aizawa walked to their table and said in a tired manner, “If you all don’t stop I promise I will expel you, so what's with all the noise?”
“Sensei sorry for the noise but Midoriya was eating Brocolli”, Yaomomo explained, At that Aizawa seemed to understand and then looked a bit disgusted but after while he gained a shit eating grin big enough to rival Bakugou’s. “So the problem child turned to the dark side huh? Who saw that coming?”
At Midoriya’s confused stare Aizawa decided to send the class back to class early. “Go back to class guys”, grumbling a bit they all started heading back with but not before sending a mortified look towards Midoriya. Before Izuku left he heard Aizawa chuckle under his breath and say,” Brocolli huh?”

Walking back to class Midoriya had walked into Shinsou, who saw the broccoli boy’s confused face. “Midoriya you okay?” he asked which roused the boy out of deep thought.
“It’s nothing, I’m just kinda confused is all”
“Why’s that?”, Midoriya then proceeded to tell Shinsou about the event at lunch while doing so he watch an array of emotions cross his face from disgust to mirth. Shinsou seemed unable to control his laughter at the confused look Midoriya still had on his face.
Calming down he tried to school his expression back to usual but couldn’t seem to stop the smirk on his face or hide the shine of mirth in his eyes. “Damn, Midoriya who saw that coming.”
“What?!?, I’m still so confused”
At that Shinsou decided to take it easy on the poor boy and at least tell him what was going on. “Midoriya you see how sometimes people refer to you as broccoli boi because of the hair and all?”
At that Midoriya nodded his head in understanding, but still seemed confused, “So? What does that have to do with anything?”
Shinsou continued, ”And today you were eating broccoli?” Shinsou said slowly like he was talking to a child. At that Midoriya gained a look of understanding then very quickly turned several shades of red.
Unknown to the pair they were being watched by most of the members of class 1-A. As they watched the broccoli boy turn red they all thought to themselves ‘He kinda looks like a tomato’
