He should have thrown out the thing before he got attached.
"Yes," Jeremy agrees, even though his voice is still mildly frantic. "But I wasn't supposed to know this thing."
Ah. now it all makes sense. Jeremy for all his wonderful and endearing qualities is a gossip. At Sports Night is probably counted amongst his many endearing qualities.
As a secret keeper, however—
"But now you know it?" He asks mostly to try and move the conversation along. Anthony hands him his beer, and he thanks him as he grabs it.
"I do. I know it," Jeremy agrees, once he has Casey's attention again.

Summary
Bobby had not said exactly what would happen in this so-called service. Not explicitly, at least. But something about the way his shoulders tensed and his eyes hardened as he explained the plan said enough.
Dan had seen Casey's protective instincts around Charlie. He had watched carefully over him as the custody battle unfolded and got ugly.
He knows what that look on those deep brown eyes meant.
It does not inspire any comfort to know he will meet Evan Buckley shortly when he knows how that meeting will go for the boy.

It takes the rest of the team an extra moment to understand what is happening, but then there's a slight gasp from Hen.
"Is that—"
Eddie nods, readjusting his grip on him and the kid—Buck—curls even further into him.
"Oh, kid." Bobby thinks quietly to himself. There's never a dull moment with him on shift, is there?

Concentrating on speaking is hard, but he manages to mumble out an, "Mm sorry."
"Don't—" Bruce looks like he's fighting back tears and the guilt in Barry surges harder. "Jason, I swear to god—"
Barry frowns. Is there someone else in the room with them? "Who's Jason?"
or, Barry gets hurt while on patrol and shows up on Bruce's doorstep without meaning to. Bruce handles it perfectly well and does not panic in the slightest.

He follows the command, nearly comes undone at the way Danny's eyes are seeking an explanation, asking less than demanding.
