"He WHAT!?" Daniel exclaimed. Everyone immediately shushed him and looked around to see if anyone overheard. No one appeared to, so they continued they're conversation.
"It's true! A... friend of mine told me." Hailey Anne confirmed, silently thanking Whisper for putting it on his blog. Hopefully Nate doesn't look over his shoulder one day. "Surprisingly, he hasn't told me." she added, pouting a bit.
"That does make a great case for the Miracle☆Boyz!" Andy grinned.
"We are not calling ourselves that." Mark sighed.
"I never thought he'd get a girlfriend in his short time living in BBQ." Katie said thoughtfully, while adjusting her pendant. Hailey knew it was a Yo-Kai Watch, making her one of the four kids Hailey knew that could see Yo-Kai, including herself.
"Probably an equally average girl." Eddie guessed, shrugging.
"Still. I propose we investigate!" Hailey Anne insisted. "I even tapped his phone, just in case!"
"WHAAAAAAAAT!?" Everyone screamed together.
"No. No. No. No. Hailey Anne. No." Lucas said, shaking his head.
"Ehehehehe, I was just kidding. I don't have a wiretap!" Hailey Anne assured them.
"Otherwise, you would've?" Alex guessed.
"Uhuhuhuhu, you know me too well, my dear Alex." She giggled.
"Don't call her that!" Eric and Kenny shouted at the same time. No one paid any attention to them.
"Perhaps he's hasn't thought to tell anyone because it's doomed to fail." Lina guessed grimly.
"Lina. No." Chelsea sighed.
"Or it's not real. He made it up to become less average." Zoey suggested.
"Also no. Why do you think Nate is just that unlikely to have a girlfriend?" Shelly asked. "It's average to have a girlfriend."
"Well, I hope she's hot." Bear shrugged. Everyone's heads turned towards him with disgust.
"Bear, why are you like this?" Eddie sighed, face palming.
"Maybe by some stroke of luck, he ended up dating a celebrity. Otherwise, why is it that big a deal?" Natalie offered.
"Because he's our average friend, and this is real life, not a cheap movie." Megan pointed out, probably crushing Natalie's dreams by the way she slumped.
"What if he's hiding it because Natalie's right?" Casey suggested, punctuated it with jazz hands. "Like a Next HarMEOWny-"
"Nah, he's too average." Matt interrupted, also crushing Casey's dreams.
"What in tarnation is the fuss all 'bout?" Usapyon complained, climbing out of a trash can.
"Usapyon, what were you doing in a trash can?" Hailey Anne asked cocking an eyebrow.
"Uhh... private business." Usapyon answered quickly. Hailey Anne opened her mouth to speak. "Not sleepin'. Iiiif, that's what yer thinkin'."
She frowned, and lifted him out of the trash can by his ears. "Yeah, that lie is as fake as these ears."
"A real detective would refrain from personal attacks." Usapyon pouted.
"Mhm." Hailey Anne hummed, then put him down on the ground. "So, everyone." Everyone turned to face her. "We need to-"
"Oh hey!" Usapyon exclaimed suddenly, whipping out his Yo-kai pad. "A new post from Whisper! It says 'Nate's lover is gon' come an' visit fer th' week... an' is comin' tomorrow!'"
"HUUUUUUUUH!?" Hailey Anne screamed. "Guys! guys! I, uh, just remembered! Nate's girlfriend is coming to visit tomorrow!!"
"What!? This changes everything!" Katie exclaimed. "No more guessing! We'll just see this tomorrow! Where, Hailey? WHERE!?"
"Uhh..." She looked down at Usapyon.
"I'ma workin' on it, I'ma workin' on it!" Usapyon panicked back. "Uhh... UHHH... UHMMMMM.... Ah! They're comin' on their private yacht."
"Oh! She's, ah, coming in on her private yacht." Hailey said proudly, then paused. "Waaaaaiiit..."
"SO IT IS A CELEBRITY!" Natalie exclaimed. "HA HA!"
"Or they're just really rich." Megan pointed out.
"If it's who I think it is, then yes, she's really rich, and what a catch she is!" Hailey grinned, starry eyed. "We should go and, uh, congratulate him!"
"THIS sounds promising!" Bear grinned.
"Bear, why." Eddie sighed, banging his head on the wall of a nearby Everymart.

Like they arranged, everyone was gathered at the port, watching from afar as Nate waited nervously at the dock, fidgeting. Everyone was practically climbing over each other to get a good view.
The yacht was not yet in view, so they were all just gathered there, creepily stalking him. At least, that's what it probably looked like to all the passerbys.
"Alright, I propose we actually go down and talk to him. It'll be easier that way." Hailey Anne whispered.
"I don't think-"
"HEY NATE!!" Katie called, cutting Eddie off.
"Too late now!" Daniel shrugged.
Nate turned around. "Hey, Ka-" His eyes widened as he saw all of his classmates coming down to the dock. "-tie... Hailey Anne, what did you do?"
"WHAT!?" Hailey Anne exclaimed. "Why do you immediately assume that I did something?!"
"Well, he's right." Mark pointed out. Hailey Anne frowned at him.
"So what did you do?" Nate asked again. Hailey Anne then noticed Whisper and Jibanyan on either side of Nate, Jibanyan sleeping, and Whisper panicking.
"We heard that you'd gotten yourself a lover." Sarah grinned. "We came to meet her."
"Did you now?" Nate frowned skeptically, glaring down at Whisper, who smiled sheepishly at him. "Whatever. Anyway, but, ah, what do you mean sh-"
His words were drowned out by a loud horn from a boat in the distance. The boat. Everyone fell silent, gawking in it's appearance. On the deck was who Hailey recognized as Dorothy and Buck, waving at them.
"Wow... she's beautiful..." Megan breathed.
"But who's the scruffy-looking guy next to her?" Alex asked.
"That's her little brother." Hailey Anne answered.
"Wow, Nate. I can't believe you got someone as unaverage as her!" Eddie exclaimed, awestruck.
"Huh?" Nate cocked an eyebrow. "What do you mean 'her'?" Everyone looked at him, confused. "Waaaaait. You thought I was dating Dorothy?"
"A-aren't you?" Shelly stammered.
"No. Of course not." Nate shrugged.
"Then who...?" Andy trailed off, squinting to see if they missed someone.
The yacht was pulling into the dock now, and it suddenly all made sense to Hailey Anne. The second the yacht was at the dock, Buck leaped off the side, landed roughly on his feet, and tackled Nate into a crushing bear-hug.
"Ehehe, hey Buck." Nate grinned, hugging him back.
"It's great t' see ya, Nate! 've been lookin' forward t' this all week!" Buck exclaimed, letting go and helping him to his feet.
"Wait a sec. You're..." Matt paused for a minute (for dramatic affect). "Dating him?!" Everyone was silent for a moment.
"WHAAAAAAT!?" The class cried.
"Yup! This is my boyfriend, Buck Hazeltine." Buck grinned when Nate said 'boyfriend'.
"Buck!" Everyone's attention turned to Dorothy, who was quickly walking out towards them. "That was very dangerous, you could've hurt yourself!" Buck frowned and rolled his eyes.
"But I didn', so why's it matter?" Buck pouted, dodging away from his sister's hug.
"The fact that you could've, Buck. What would I tell mother? Or Sally?" Dorothy said, more concerned than scolding. She then sighed, and noticed the class gawking at her. Some drooling. "Oh, hello. Are you Nate's friends? It's nice to meet you."
"Are you a celebrity?" Natalie asked.
"Me?" Dorothy blinked, then laughed sweetly. "I believe that, no, I am no celebrity. Just a lucky girl."
"A lot of girls would kill to have looks like yours." Katie pointed out. "You're gorgeous."
"Thank you." Dorothy giggled. "I believe there is beauty in everyone though. Inside and out."
"Can we get back to the matter at hand here?!" Hailey Anne shouted. "We were here to meet Nate's lover!"
"Well... where'd they go, anyway?" Bear asked.
"HUH!?" She exclaimed, then looked around. "Whisper, where's Nate and Buck?"
"They disappeared." Whisper said worriedly, looking around.
"Nya, they probably wanted space from all the attention." Jibanyan guessed sleepily.
"Well, I guess there's only one thing left to do." Hailey grinned.
"What-"
"Leave it to us." She said, pushing up her glasses and suddenly changing outfits. "Your friendly neighborhood detectives!"
"Drum roll, please!" Usapyon said behind her.
"Mystery... solved!!"
