Summary
At first, Eijirou had thought he’d actually lost it. That his grief had sent him insane. But no. That low, gravelled, voice was too real, too right, and Kirishima knew that Bakugou was still somehow alive.
The university had closed for three days after Katsuki’s death. The police had interviewed Eijirou, making him relive the worst ten minutes of his life over and over, asking him questions he had no way of answering, before finally chalking his best friend’s death up to a failed mugging. That had been the end of it.
But it wasn’t the end of Eijirou’s suffering.
Bakugou’s body had disappeared from the morgue two days after it had been taken there. It was never found, but his parents held a funeral for him anyway.
A funeral that Eijirou had attended in a grief filled daze, still reeling from hearing his best friend tap at his dorm room window the night before, demanding to be let in.
