Izuku wasn't like the other hunters. They did it for the money, or for sport. Some hunters would keep their wolves as pets, in a way.
Or train them to perform.
Izuku did not keep any wolves and he did not kill them. Catch and release, that was his method.
Often someone would beg him: At least re-locate it!
Wolves that were eating their livestock.
Wolves that were hurting people.
He would do as they asked, but Izuku didn't accept money. He had a job. Owned his own store, in fact.
The other hunters told him this life wasn't meant to be a hobby.
"It's not a hobby," Izuku would reply. "I'm looking for someone."
