This is an incredibly unique movie adaptation so masterfully applied to the Hobbit movie canon. I haven't seen The Purple Rose of Cairo (it's on Amazon Prime so I will soon!), but I still got so much enjoyment out of imagining the Hobbit movie and the real world clashing crazily. I especially liked the development of the Richard Armitage character and the whole epilogue that so cleverly laid out what happened after the screen went dark. This needs so much more love!
